A definite early contender for Pie of the Year. Have no faults at all. The tea shops also don't have the apostrophe for some reason. ETA. I'm working so looking for something to do so looked it up - they dropped the apostrophe 50 years ago because the logo looked better without it. I feel like I should mark them down for such a blatant disregard for the King’s English. But f**k the king. 10/10 for Bettys.

Au contraire, a perfect example of the use of the word but as a conjunction to connect 2 directly related sentences.
johnnydun
Sampled these Morrisons Lattice Mince Pies today. A good solid 7/10 for me, nice tasting mince. We now have a Mince Pie score board in the Office. Good times. Edited November 16, 2022 by johnnydun

Arch Stanton
I've tried those Aldi mince pies. Buttery, boozy and very tasty.
microdave
I made mince pies in home economics when I was in first year at school. I'd taken them home and they were enjoyed by everyone so much that a week later my Mum came home with all the ingredients to make more. Except I had to make them. And it ended up becoming a Christmas tradition in our house but one that I came to despise. Making them on one, lonely, sole occasion turned into a chore I ended up having to do for years. I love mince pies but it's far easier to buy them.
Eatmygoal
John Lewis mince pie today. Filling was nice, the pastry was good as well. However, despite looking pretty I feel open topped pies lack something. Pricey too. 6/10. Edited November 17, 2022 by Eatmygoal
beefybake
Just got back from the shops. Didn't want to miss out when the rush really starts, so stocked up on.... Edited November 17, 2022 by beefybake
mathematics
Marks & Spencer baked in store. Solid crispy crust. Good size. Tasty filling. Bit sticky.
tamthebam
I like puff pastry mince pies. Am I OFTW? Also I like Festive Bakes but can never seem to get a hot one.

HeartsOfficialMoaner
I'd find it difficult to find mince pies I don't like. Got some almond Aldi ones, not much filling but quite rich and crunchy. Lovely. Had some shortcrust market street ones from Morrisons. Very short and almost biscuit like with not much filling. Lovely.
Savage Henry
Our second selection were these: They are second behind the excellent Spar Luxury version.
Bert Raccoon
Asda Spiced Rum Mince Pies. Pastry wasn't the best but the filling was delicious the Rum didn't over power it but you can definitely taste it
Savage Henry
McLeans. Absolutely sensational crust. Lots of filling. Only let down by a lack of boozy tang. So far: 1. McLeans 2. Marks and Sparks 3. Spar 4. coop.
