Thats a truly ridiculous idea. There are currently about a dozen or so QoS players out on loan in the non leagues somewhere. Mostly in the South of Scotland league but there are two at Gartcairn and one in the West at Threave. I've got a million better things to do with the 20 or 30 hours a week I do for the club on top of holding down a full time job without giving a monkey's which cup ties any of them have played in if we dont play in said cup. In absolutely no circumstances is the parent club's answer as to whether a player is cup tied carrying a single iota of authority anyway. It matters not whether Clyde said he was or wasnt. It's Talbot's responsibility to check it, not Clyde's. Seemingly they did and were wrongly advised and hence won their appeal.
