Rhys McCabe Hype Train
The fact that players & coaches refused to train suggests this isn’t the first time, I’m afraid. Don’t want to see a club in trouble but it seems ominous.

Popular Post ICTChris
The Championship can't tolerate such instability. The play-off result should be overturned and Inverness Caledonian Thistle should be restored to the second tier. Off field drama and financial nonsense has no place in the game. In unrelated news, we will now be paying Duncan Ferguson in Phygital Bored Ape NFTs.

oneteaminglasgow
That statement reads like some of the players have been paid and some haven’t, which seems very odd. It also seems odd that they haven’t touched on the ‘refusing to train’ claim made in the press at all, which if it wasn’t true would’ve been exceptionally easy to prove.
diegomarahenry
They contacted the players to ask them if they were paid. But the players refused to train because they hadn’t been paid. They should read what is in the public domain, refute any falsehood or front up to it. What they have done is make someone out to be liars and annoy/worry the support more. Dunning1874
Reminder that Edinburgh City were deducted six points last season not for failing to pay players on time, but for failing to follow SPFL rules in notifying them that players hadn't been paid on time. Luckily Hamilton are so competent off the park we can have no doubt they have complied with those rules and notified the SPFL promptly.

LatapyBairn.
If your new owner wasn’t prepared to play sugar daddy and fund loses the club should never have been spending in the manner it has been, in the end it’s the fans that suffer when football clubs over spend and are mis managed. When are the clubs last set of accounts released to shareholders? It did seem odd seeing the signings and size of squad Hamilton were able to operate with last season on crowds of barely 1000. We’ve been told Falkirks most recent set of accounts from the year just ended will show a loss of around 340k which was covered via a cash surplus from the previous years Scottish cup run, I’d expect Hamiltons operating loss to be considerably bigger than that but presumed these new owners were prepared to bankroll the thing. The guy obviously has other ideas or can’t afford to, this kind of thing does not just spring up from nowhere and the club really should not have continued spending or bringing players in knowing there was a financial shortfall, there’s been a complete lack of transparency with the fans here regarding the clubs situation unless of course there has genuinely been a simple online banking issue.
Theaccman
Look at the weird Falkirk vultures circling just to remind us of how many of their mutant fans turn up in Grangemouth every 2nd week. -
