What is more interesting is that depsite obvious organised crime involvement to even the casual observer, no journalist outfit ever really looks into.

Phillips Auclair on the Guardian Football Weekly has been banging this drum for a while, but sadly his (and Swedish magazine Josimar's) good work isn't really reported in the main stream press and definitely not on Sky and TNT where they don't want to kill the Golden Goose.

With all the TV and league sponsorship cash, not to mention ticket and merchandise sales, why do clubs do this shit? Is it really just about greed?

Basically, yes. When Villa were criticised for linking with a fairly dodgy-looking bookie last year, they told fans at a meeting they were offering twice as much as the highest bid from a non-bookmaker.

Man U seem like absolute moths to a flame for this sort of signing. Its almost like they are incapable of broadening their view for young talent beyond domestic guys they'll have to massively overpay for

"Jarrad Branthwaite" doesn't even sound like a real name. Like a typing error or someone with a thick accent saying something else.

Sounds like a character out of a Ken Loach film.

Confirms, as if it was ever really in doubt, that rather than being spots svengalis - Ineos were really just drug cheats from the start.

They did get decent airplay out of their incremental gains, same mattress stuff though.

That wasn't Ineos though, that was Sky. And Ineos have went backwards in cycling (now very much in the second tier behind Visma LaB, UAE, Quickstep, Decathlon etc) and their time at Nice hasn't exactly been great either. It's almost as like they don't really have much of an idea about sport and should stick to petrochemicals...
