Oi you, King's Park is on Glencairn's doorstep. Just because you drive past Glencairn's stadium to go and support your glory-hunting big team doesn't mean you should encourage others to do the same. 😛

Lol-ok some of it is closer to you guys!

If only we had some glory as the cabinet hasn’t been bulging in recent years…

Lokloyal how you feeling about the coming season? You been impressed with the new signings and think you'll be up challenging on all fronts? Seemed to be every day a new signing being announced and seems like a massive overhaul

Some of it ? All of King's Park is right beside Rutherglen, it's about three times the distance (and possible more) to Newlands. 🤣

I think we have made some good signings but fear that Maxi will have so many options it won’t be easy to settle a strongest 11 early enough.Too much choice and too little time as you can’t start poorly in this league -if you do it’s a big ask recovering.

I would have liked to have retained Stuart McCann and Del Esplin and let Rumsby go but there are some things you can’t control.

I suspect overall it is a rebuilding season with such huge changes and would be surprised if we win anything so Lok fans will need to be patient-not a quality they are known for unfortunately ….

Wanted to expand on this part of your post.

First off big kudos for using the term 'new Scots', tells us a lot about you as a person and it's positives.

A number of the new Scots come from footballing countries and you never know they might have experience in administering a club in their birth country.

Clubs can reach out to them and engage with them; it's almost a win-win for both. New blood at clubs and a massive way of the new Scots becoming an integral part of their new community.

#we are all Scots.

It definitely pays dividends to build bridges, but it's unlikely the nature of the experience of transplanting yourself to a new country would leave someone with sufficient free time to get involved in the administration of a club.

There's definitely a pool of talent player-wise out there though, although it has to be said transience again plays a part and it's rare for players to stay very long at a club before they require to move for work or whatever.

Certainly for us it's led to some odd situations, not least last season when we had a current full internationalist turn out for us as a trialist in a bounce game who'd left his previous club at the start of the winter break and was signing for another club in January. He was over here on holiday visiting friends in the period in between and asked to train...we had a friendly booked and were short of bodies sooo...

I can also remember the fun and games trying to get international clearance for a Georgian midfielder...the documentation came back from Tbilisi in Georgian which looks like this :)

My mate is out training with them just now with a view to signing and doesn't think it is good to go yet , he could be totally wrong though!

Thanks-is the ground actually ready for use now?

Id heard a rumour there was some issue with contamination of the ground there causing hold up?

It just seems never ending for Rob Roy.Hopefully any contamination issues would have been assessed and taken into account before they started any development on site .

Contamination, what does that even mean - is there a thin layer of radioactive waste sitting on top of all the surfaces or something? Because it looks ready, just sitting and waiting for people to play football.

Looks like all the other Soulless astros popping up all over Scotland.
Give me a traditional park with grass any day

Totally agree I can't stand them although obviously fully aware that our slope isn't for everyone either .
