Pele10
The EOS site says it's Chris King as manager now. If that's the ex Newtongrange Star manager it's a solid appointment.

tamthebam
Away wins for Linton Hotspur and, err, Hawick Royal Albert And to think I can remember Bathgate Thistle winning the Junior Cup. OK the money man has disappeared long ago but you'd think a town like Bathgate could sustain a half decent side.
HibeeJibee
Hawick 1-3 Edinburgh Community on Saturday 5th August has been ordered replayed, after the referee allowed an improper number of substitutions in the original match. Visitors drop below hosts in table. HibeeJibee
Hawick have just won 4 league games on the trot (and 5 league games unbeaten) plus have already amassed more points by the end of September than they commonly have in an entire season - finally seem to have found their level. Whether they can sustain this and win a first promotion in their history... time will tell. EDIT: they last won 4-in-a-row back in March & April 2016 with consecutive home wins v CSS, Coldstream, Peebles and Duns amid 7-game unbeaten run. Incredibly the previous example to that is 30yrs ago... way back in season 1992-93 ... (6 consecutive wins from December to March v HW Uni, CSS, Edinburgh Uni, Annan, HW Uni again and Peebles). HibeeJibee
With about 1/3 of both the season and the fixtures elapsed: time to take stock. Previous strugglers Bathgate and Harthill have lit the burners to lead early doors... Hawick mounting a strong challenge to bounce back... debutants Linton have stabilised.

FairWeatherFan
I get that HRA catches the eye as they're so often hopeless, but what's changed at Harthill Royal? Finished bottom last season and already surpassed their points total from last year.

HibeeJibee
Christmas break arrives with 43% of program completed. Looks like current top 4 will battle for promotion unless somebody further down go on heck of a run. Really quite remarkable given how Bathgate, Harthill and Hawick have struggled in recent years. 'War of the Ls' sees Linton Hotspur vying with Lochgelly and Livingston Utd to avoid wooden spoon on their debut. realmadrid
I attended the "Albert" derby on Saturday and not only was the park in good condition and playable but it was a good game The game finished 2-2 Lochgelly's seem to have found a bit of form and after a horrendous start in the league (9 defeats in the first 10 games) have only lost 2 of the last 7 games going back to mid October. They are a very young team and if the club can keep them together could be a contender for promotion in the next few years. One of the most friendly places ive visited as a neutral and the grounds and facilities are in very good condition.
