I can accept the ex drug dealer bit, but not the sticky bun bit, no sirree..................

He appears to have learned from his mistakes in the narcotics industry, he still seems to think supporting rangers has a place in society.

Find it quite funny that it is ludicrous for Bartley to be considered for the Hibs job after 18 months as an assistant at Livi and 24 games as a manager. But after another 32 games in League 1 he’ll be the ideal man for the job.

Bartley's about 5 years away at least from becoming the manager of Hibernian.

Both of them basket cases with unrealistic expectations and had Aberdeen up the top of the league and Europe most years.  He has a taste for that and would he achieve that with Kilmarnock? (no offence).   There's so much potential at Hibs to play at the level he had with Aberdeen, not sure why he would be happy with a mid/bottom of the table club for the next few years, surely he must have some ambition left to manage at a higher level?

Did Hibs fans no hound out a manager who'd finished 3rd and got you to 2 finals in 6 months or was that another basket case club with unrealistic expectations?

No he was punted because the new owner/ceo wanted their own man in place.  They used a poor run of results after no backing him in the transfer market to pull the trigger.

You are thinking of Robbie Neilson mate.

This is pretty ironic coming from a hearts fan of whom the majority chased Neilson out the door for being...pretty successful.

We'd need to cover him up in bubble wrap whenever we're playing at tynecastle in order to protect him from the not so cool headed, not so calm or thoughtful rabies infested neds who would inevitably try to attack him.

Cancel that. Will take him as player-manager at Tynecastle. Now.

Only slightly tongue in cheek.

This is getting difficult ...

Being an assistant (No.2) is good experience there's no doubt, but it's a long way from being No.1 and the guy who makes and is accountable for all the decisions.  So I wouldn't equate time spent as a No.2 to time spent as a No.1

If I was on the Hibs board, I'd not be going for a rookie manager with only tier 3 experience in the No.1 role.

I never said that "after another 32 games in tier 3 he'd be the ideal man for the job" ... you said that.
