Celtic FC vs Dundee FC - 16/09/23

Recommended Posts

game went pretty much as i expected...celtic loads of possession us having to do a whole lot of defending(which we didnt do too badly at)the penalty(which was)changed the whole game and for 15 mins after it we went all too f**k...celtic are miles better than anything in scotland and have a bench full of talent that teams like us can only dream about...move on bigger game next week.

Ange was all high press, energy whereas Rodgers is keep-ball.  That's fine but I seem to remember Celtic slowly turning in to a team, first time around, that just played across the field as the defenders rotated with them.  Ends up as a one tempo team. Players overall don't match the style of football.

I think we were all getting used to the high risk high reward style. My main concern is that our recruitment model continues to identify players that are better suited to Angeball. That said I’m sure Rodgers will have his final say and shape a squad befitting a more possession counterattacking side.

Peter grant has to be the most biased commentator ever , he dreadful yesterday , not a single mention of the sandwich by two Celtic players on Robinson in the lead up to the second goal , I can see why they employ ex players but they should still be objective and not comment as a fan

1) Peter Grant is a boring c**t

2) It’s a paid service for Celtic fans so you can’t really complain if you’re neither a Celtic fan nor a paid subscriber.

Can’t complain about the penalty based on current rules as those are always given and you’d hope we will get one like that at some stage.  It’s never made any sense to me as a rule though.

There is one player trying to play the ball and one trying to play the man, so the one trying to play the man gets the decision.  It’s not like Turnbull’s got control of the ball already and is shielding it, he's arguably just tripped Howley as he’s trying to come away with the ball.
