Rubbish if you like them deep-filled, which I don't. Shallow-filled in a really nice, buttery shortcrust pastry. 49p for six back in the day. mathematics Posted November 15, 2023 Author Share Posted November 15, 2023 (edited) M&S Collection Mince Pies I dived into these pies like Martin Boyle in the penalty box as they had good colour on the pastry, were well enough filled and had a nice frosting of icing sugar on top. They appeared structurally sound, decent up top, but a tiny wee bit leaky at the back. Plenty of tasty filling with some exotic flavours in there too. However, just as @O'Kelly Isley III has mentioned in the thread (good scouting, thank you), these pies come in at £3.50 a box (of six). Despite all their tastiness I am not quite sure that they provide the consumer with value for money - they certainly won't win any awards and won't feature in any European Pie competitions. I hereby award this pie the rating of: HIBERNIAN FOOTBALL CLUB, due to being quite tasty, but not being good enough to win any trophies and really not providing value for money. Might sound a nice combo on paper but they're not nice at all. hardly any mince pie flavour or millionaire crumble flavour.
