As if the Dead Pool contestants are hanging on to see who they've outlived in Miguel's weekly update. In my entirely unmeasured experience there are more than usual on a Monday. I think they hold off on announcements for the start of the week (although I suppose Americans would count this as a Sunday so you might have a point)

Bold Rover
We need an emergency meeting of the Deadpool Committee to debate this. Does Famous For Being Old = Famous For Being Ill (Sick) = Famous For Being Likely To Die Without Being Famous For Anything Else?

Does Famous For Being Old = Famous For Being Ill (Sick) = Famous For Being Likely To Die Without Being Famous For Anything Else? In terms of the effect on playing the game, picking someone 'famous for being old' doesn't seem to be an overpowering strategy. Currently, Marion Dawson is the only such pick in people's rosters (typically there'd just be one or two) and they don't net that many points. Dawson got just 64 points including a 'solo shot' bonus. If picking the extremely old catches on as a strategy, the points tally would be more like 10-20 points each. And once you've got past 'The World's Oldest', 'Britain's Oldest' and 'Scotland's Oldest', you'll be toiling for supercentenarians to pick who would net you a qualifying obit. It's true that Dawson has just allowed Ned Nederlander to putatively get knocked into first place, but that's as much to do with his other 6 picks as with Dawson. I'd imagine this is different from 'famous for being ill' where there's a lot more possible picks and they'll inevitably be younger and score more and consequently players would be much more likely to fill up the rosters with boring non-celebs if that rule was to be relaxed.
