Dundee FC vs St Johnstone - 02/01/2024

Recommended Posts

Will be an Interesting-looking schedule for Dundee (and Aberdeen) after the shutdown....

If St Mirren get into the next round of the cup then we'll have a pretty busy schedule of 8 games in 36 days between 27/1 and 2/3. And that's with our league fixtures up to date.

Throw in an extra 4 games on top?

Who are the Dundee clowns blaming this week?  The referee again?  Freak weather conditions that only affected that one specific part of Dundee?  Opposition teams for not wanting to play in wellies?  People of a different religion?  The SPFL?  The SFA?

Itll be interesting to see what the SPFL does, as while theyre an absolutely woefully run amateur outfit, they also tend to be petty as f**k.

Dundee ripping into them over the Aberdeen game, then this happening, gives them a free shot at getting something back.

It is pretty tinpot tbf. Feb weather will be worse. Going to end up playing 3 games a week for multiple weeks at this rate. Probably fucking ourselves in the process. Keyes/ Nelms needs to sort it out.

It is pretty amateur but also, it's fun seeing people lose their minds over it. I'm conflicted.

Thank you.

There aren’t a great deal of free midweeks available between now and the end of March, and if Dundee (or their opponents that they need to make up games against) progress in the Scottish Cup that rules out the cup weekends as well.

Theres an international break towards the end of March as well so that probably rules out another midweek date.

They need fined.

3 postponements in half a season, 2 back to back, because their pitch is drainage is dogshit and has been for years.

Its embarrassing.

That's bound to come back to haunt you.

Guess February/March will be just constant Saturday/Midweek/Saturday games for you, even worse if you get through the cup game

Total joke. Postponements will always happen, we live in Scotland after all, but 3 already this season and it's not been that bad a winter is not good.

Nah, just towns getting evacuated and major road links being fucked for months.

This in a division apparently trying to 'ban' non-grass pitches.

This comment would work if Livi weren't the other team in the league to suffer from drainage issues on their pitch, but don't let that stop you looking for bites to a misconceived notion.
