Both religion and race are pretty fuzzy concepts and have varying degrees of importance and salience across people and across time. I'd be prepared to accept that someone could associate Khan with Islamism because he's a muslim not because he looks Pakistani (obviously this would still be ridiculous). I'd not be prepared to accept that that GBeebies gobshite gave it that much thought though.
