It’s great but it’ll only matter if we’re not bottom after 36 games are played!

I think today's result will be a pivotal one in the battle to avoid finishing bottom, and that Clyde will be o.k.

Not going to bother analysing the game as we all know the deal. The result is all that matters and as has already been said, we fully deserved to win that game - probably by two or three goals given our 2nd half dominance.

A few things I wanted to note:

1) Jordan Allan is a great wee player and is fast becoming one of my all time faves. I only hope we are able to hold onto him for at least one more season - I guess a lot of that will depend on whether we stay up.

2) Alan Maitland is an absolute hero. Anyone who was lucky enough to be in the stadium bar pre-match to witness his rousing speech will testify to this fact. It was reminiscent of the pre-battle speech in Braveheart, minus the horse and a few kilts. Next time give the guy a mic/megaphone though as it took a minute for some to realise the big man was speaking to the room.

3) Ebbo is back where he belongs and I suspect has probably learned to keep his fingers in check. He made a mistake but has paid for it and fully deserves to remain in his position. Was great to see him celebrating with the players at the end and you could tell how much it means to him. Welcome back!

4) Still not sure why McCall seems so reluctant to consult the league table. Did he use this sort of patter with his previous clubs? Look at it ffs - regularly!

Congratulations to the players and all involved. It was tense but what a feeling when Allan headed in at the end. Mon the Bully Wee!!!

No golfclubs today Stranraer just tears.

Plenty of tears for sure and no doubt a few skid marked briefs when wee Jordan headed in the injury time winner. You reap what you sow etc...

I see some Stranraer fans were gesticulating and shouting at our players for getting it right up them after our goal.

I have absolutely zero problem with this because I'm not a hand-wringing baby like certain fans of other clubs from this league that like to post in our match threads.

Surely reacting to opposition players scoring against you is a crime punishable by imprisonment or banishment and nobody does that other than the big bad Clyde fans who cause trouble everywhere they go?!

Not over the line yet, but leapfrogging those c***s is very pleasing.

Spot on so satisfying after the way they celebrated at Stair Park and also down to the time wasting today. Revenge is sweet.

That was a really hard watch, I honestly didn’t think we were ever going to score, 10/10 for effort in the second half, was like watching a different side compared to the first, although I don’t doubt the wind played a huge factor in how out of the game we were first 45.

I honestly think this is the bounce the team need, off the bottom and do anything to keep us off the bottom. Perhaps being optimistic after a last gasp winner, but I genuinely believe we can go on and win the next three games.  I just want us to be mathematically safe before Elgin away.

Going to Elgin needing a result will be a huge ask. If that’s the case then hopefully Elgin are safe and have nothing to play for.

Thought Liam Scullion had a decent game today, and I thought that boo boys favourite Ross Lyon played well.  It is great too to have a confident keeper.

Craig Howie is a bombscare. I don't remember him being as bad as that when it played for us before.  Guessing it is a confidence thing.

Not read through the rest of the posts because it would probably send me off my head but, Stranraer got from the game what they deserved.

First half was ok but not enough to edge it, the second half we had one great chance then thereafter was an onslaught from Clyde.

A point would have been good but, would have covered cracks. People would have said we sat in and defended well.
We didn’t offer anything going forward though, again.
Harder to swallow too when you see Clyde player giving the big un to the great Stranraer support, didn’t realise there was as much beef, bar a couple of numpties at Stair Park.

Hurting, but still points to play for.

All in all, we got exactly what we wanted out of that game and I think the players (and the manager) have to take some plaudits for that. Our substitutes helped to turn the screw on Stranraer and despite what a few others have said, I feel Grant and Cuddihy both did well in midfield today. It was certainly a much better performance for Cuddihy today after an absolute horror show at Peterhead last week, though he wasn’t alone in that. Whilst the first half was an absolute non-event, it was apparent from early in the second-half that we were playing the conditions better than Stranraer who didn’t create an awful lot given their advantage of playing with the wind in the first-half.

Our second-half performance, with the exception of the first couple of minutes where Stranraer forced Kinnear into a decent block, was absolutely dominant and we could have had three or four goals today. However, with Allan’s effort was superbly cleared off the line, Grant and Allan’s efforts narrowly wide, Leitch’s effort just about scrambled away between the keeper and the defender, Scullion’s effort down the neck of the keeper, Allan’s ball across the six-yard box with no takers, it just seemed like it was going to be one of those days that summed up our season. Needless to say, it was absolute bedlam when the ball hit the net.

I read Kyle Fleming say on Stranraer’s website yesterday that they weren’t coming to sit in and look for a draw so it was interesting to note Scott Agnew say after the match that he had changed things to try and leave with a point. Certainly, even in the first-half, a Robertson effort aside, Stranraer didn’t seem in any great rush to create things. Of course, you’d have expected us to do the same in Stranraer’s position, but it’s always sweet to get a winner against a team who has no intention to come and get a win, heightened further by the obvious nonsense that took place down in Stranraer in February. The goal reminded me in a few ways on Martin McNiff’s late winner in the promotion season against Annan Athletic who were a very unsavoury bunch to play against that season. A real GIRFUY moment that reminds us of why we bother after all (and there haven’t been many of those this season).

Of course, it all counts for naught unless we can remain off of bottom spot until the end of the season. I’m still not completely confident given our run of fixtures and with Stenhousemuir having won the title (congrats @Francesc Fabregas, @Neilly  and all the other Stenny fans on here) it could make the fixtures that ourselves, Bonnyrigg and Stranraer have to play against them a tad unpredictable. Plus, when you have sides safely in the play off spots you start to see a bit of rotation in their squads which again makes things a bit more of a lottery. We have four massive games coming up and we’ll need to be at the top of our game in absolutely all of them. The thought of needing something on the last day against Elgin has been filling me with dread for a while now so I dare not get too overconfident. However, I really hope we do manage to pull an escape off. I’ve been as critical as anybody this season of the team, and the club as a whole, but listening to Allan Maitland in the Fanzone before the match, you can’t help but get the feeling that the club may actually be slowly starting to turn in the right direction. It’s dreadful that it’s taken things to get this dire before implementing change, and so much of what Maitland was saying seems dependent on staying up, but it does seem like it could be a potentially exciting time for the club should we manage to stay up.

902 in attendance today which was a great crowd, helped of course by the reduced admission and the fact that Rangers and Celtic play tomorrow. I noticed that in amongst were Mick Kennedy and Simon Ferry, no doubt doing a bit of scouting of the potential Club 42. On that note, a big shout out to ‘1888stevieB’ on Twitter who appears to be a Celtic/East Kilbride fan. Stevie was very critical of the two sides today stating that “not one minute of football was played” and describing both sides as “utter dugmeat”. Whilst it’s hard to disagree with Stevie too much, I’d like to see any team try and play free-flowing football in those kind of conditions! Stevie is extremely confident that his beloved Kilby would beat either Clyde or Stranraer so to whoever Club 42 ends up, I would it if you could absolutely horse East Kilbride if the situation arises as I’d simply love to see his reaction should East Kilbride fail to win the play-offs. Still, not that he has me rattled or anything like that.

I have absolutely no insider knowledge but I’m absolutely sure Ian McCall would have brought up the Stranraer celebrations at Stair Park to the players before the game today. In an interview not long after that match, McCall said something along the lines of “certain teams celebrated like they’d win the Champions League” so I reckon it stung him a bit too.

Still, as I mentioned above, it’s all about who has the last laugh at the end of the season!

I think Jordan Allan’s reaction was due to goading following the 2-0 at Stair Park a few weeks ago. However, I think much of the goading was from the Stranraer players rather than the fans (leading to the unsavoury scenes at the end of the game).
As for the game itself, first half was a non event. I thought we dealt well with what Stranraer offered with the wind behind them but offered little going forward. Stranraer should have taken the lead right after half time. Kinnear saved but the chance was a sitter to be honest and he shouldn’t have been given a chance to save it.
After that it was all Clyde but we made hard work of it, although the wind had alot to do with that I think.

I think Stranraer were very lucky to have 11 men on the park at half time. The challenge on Allan just before half time was reckless and high, catching him in the face, and looked a red card all day long.
Anyway, still alot to play for and I’m shitting it for the next 4 weeks, as I’m sure Stranraer and Bonnyrigg fans will be too.

Thought Scott Robertson going off for Stranraer also helped us, he’s a presence and a leader in their team so to lose him would’ve been a blow for them. Agnew saying it doesn’t look good but that would surely be a bit of a disaster losing someone like him.

Laughing at the ek(actually Celtic) fans comment about no football played 😂 just a named storm going through the stadium for 90 minutes nothing major…
