2. Green Day - Insomniac

3. The Menzingers - After The Party

4. Ramones - Road to Ruin

5. Buzzcocks - A Different Kind of Tension

1. Stiff Little Fingers – Inflammable Material
2. The Adverts – Crossing the Red Sea with The Adverts
3. The Stranglers – Rattus Norvegicus
4. Dead Kennedys – Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables
5. The Jam – All Mod Cons

Is 5 punk? Close enough, I'd say.

All screamers mate. Aye. I'd say The Jam's early stuff was punk adjacent. Would launch my favourite band The Replacements in there for good measure.

I've tried to go pure punk there. I prefer post-punk stuff like Joy Division or The Cure.

There are days when I prefer "Cast Of Thousands" to "Crossing the Red Sea", and "Setting Sons" to "All Mod Cons", but there's no way they can go in a punk list.

I also couldn't quite bring myself to put "Never Mind The Bollocks" in my list, even though "Bodies" would probably make my Top Ten Songs list.

Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks

Dead Kennedys – Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables

The Clash - The Clash

New York Dolls - New York Dolls

Ramones - Best Of (I like them a lot but never loved a album in pituitary so presumably a collection album is ok]

Aye these are all screamers to be fair. Shock Troops/Clash/Damned probably being my favourite of the list. Played with Chelsea a few times. Gene October is some boy. Their most recent stuff has been class actually.
