bluetoonscotty
Took in the friendly against Banks O Dee last night. Another draw but played some nice stuff and more minutes into the legs which is what it’s all about at this stage. Although it was just our north east contingent (bar 2 or 3), it was good to get a look at some of the new faces. Seb Ross was impressive. Always Involved in everything going forward, wether that was out wide or drifting more centrally. A bit of pace about him and very direct. Could/should have scored a couple. Also liked the look of Cieran Dunne. Again, a guy with a bit of pace about him. He went on a few driving runs with the ball from deep progressing us up the park aswell as making himself available on the overlap. Was played at left back last night and based on that performance I wouldn’t be opposed to trying him out there again. Seems like he likes to get stuck in so think he could do a good job of the defensive side of things aswell. Only saw 30 minutes of Barry but put in a few good deliveries and excited to see more of him. Looking forward to Saturday to get another look at the new boys aswell as some familiar faces returning to Balmoor.

Loves a sharp inverted turn inside and then drives forward. IF he could improve his end product he'd be a very strong asset for the Blue Toon. I liked him for us in the Championship, thought he'd easily do a job in L1 so fantastic business to bring him in at Balmoor.

With Joe's departure, we've now lost three classy midfielders who scored almost a third of our goals last season between them. Hope the new signings can fill the gaps. Early signs look promising with Forrest, Dunne, Ross and Barry.
doulikefish
Dunne was excellent yesterday and going by the 2nd half our games v Elgin this season are going to be a bit tasty
peternapper
Connor Duthie in the squad yesterday as well, did not play but another option wide, just a bit short of penalty box players or a six yard box poacher to tap some of the cross balls in.

Jason Brown is the new Lewandowski. One chalked off for offside last week and two yesterday. Put Scott Ross in his position and let him play up front with Rory.
1993
Dunne was very good and showed where Elgin need to strengthen. If they already didn’t know!
peternapper
Played left back last week but was sometimes posted missing as he was up the other end of the park. Has been a find & seems to love driving forward at pace hope he stays fit and we get the best from him. Although we scored 4 on sat really need somebody to get on the end of balls into the box
leomessi1984
You guys were solid last night. We huffed & puffed but didn't cause enough problems. Big Rory is still a handful & the goal from the wee lad was a cracker. GK looks a bit ropey though? Might cost you across the season.

He is our reserve goalie and still a young lad (20) spent most of last season on loan at Inverurie locos and reports were decent so plenty of time for development

doulikefish
Conor Duthie loaned out to Albion Rovers which will hopefully help him get fully recovered from last season's injury

BB_Bino
Well done to Rory, what an achievement. A player that opposition supporters secretly admire/admired, i'm sure....I know I do.

David W
59 minutes ago, Claudia Gentile said: How many goals? 16. He has scored more goals against ex-club Montrose than anyone else (21). His best goals to game ratio (from any meaningful number of games) is against Berwick (17 in 19 ), with Peterhead remarkably in second. Even more incredible is the fact that he has played East Fife 27 times and only scored 4.
