If a win and a draw always got you thru the Scotland world cup squad in 1974 would have walked it with a win and 2 draws and the 1982 team with a win and a draw also lost out. I don't think Adams is a great player, but honestly what do you want him to do? Balls getting smacked over his head. He barely had a player within 10 yards of him the whole game.
