People don't have to vote for the Tories or the Lib Dems.

Here is Starmer's platform. That whole "common ownership" thing sound centre-right to you?

It is a radical platform for a party which is still offering radical alternatives.

I wonder why it says 'common' and not public......

Well, it is pretty much what was in the last manifesto, so hardly a shock. But I see you're approaching the new leader with an open mind, so I'll leave you to it.

Imagine that.

Came on to actually post this, before Dunt's stupidity distracted me.

Given that we are an island of curtain twitching, snivelling grasses, this might actually go down well with voters.

'Next generation neighbourhood watch' is heavy Black Mirror vibes though. Not long until an Amazon Prime robotic dog rips me to shreds for walking up the wrong street after it identifies that I couldn't afford any of the houses there.

Taking policy ideas from Hot Fuzz for the greater good (the greater good), luv 2 c it. In this vein I'm looking forward to them telling us to head to the Winchester for a nice cold pint and wait for the fuel/food shortages to blow over, as well as death sentences for street performers.

As someone who works in the Old Town during the Fringe I would wholly applaud that policy.

Been quite interesting watching people who spent 5 years angrily shouting about lies on the side of the bus now puffing sagely on their pipes and laughing at the members that bought into Starmer doing the same thing with his campaign pledges. I do agree that anyone who bought into what he was selling is a credulous sucker but unlike them I kinda think he's a c**t for lying to get elected.

Stamer has so far lost 115,000 members.

Make that 115,001. I will never support a Party led by a lying fucking Tory, no matter what title he wants to give himself.

Taking an average of full/concession subs, the Party has lost about £600k/month. Big business will happily step in to fill that gap - there's been no shortage of "partnership" branding throughout Conference - but these fuckers will want their pound of flesh. I have no doubt they will get it.

Oh, before anyone jumps in - yes, individual members also expect a return on their money,  but a Socialist Party would be working for its members, not for the c***s who have got the world into the state where Capitalism is kiling not only people but also the actual fucking planet.

He's got to work on his catchphrases.

That is what this party is for. That’s the object of the exercise and as the leader of this party I will always have that eye-on-the-object look. How beautiful it is, that eye-on-the-object look.

Clearly meant to be eye on the ball then they changed it after the Cervix saga.

I still think he is doing a great job though. Changed the leadership rules to favour MPs more than ever, got Andy MacDonald out the cabinet, established that he will ignore conference motions and made even more left wing members resign. Mandelson might organise a yacht holiday as a wee reward.

According to Starmer:

The Conservatives and the Scottish National Party may define themselves against each other, but their politics is symbiotic, requiring one another to sustain and grow.”

Presumably he’s salty that his own incompetence is preventing the Party he’s running into the ground from doing either.

Sir Keir Starmer has called for people to stop trying to work out whether his politics are closer to the ideologies of his predecessors Tony Blair or Jeremy Corbyn

A real fucking head scratcher that.

In other news, Rose West has called for people to stop trying to work out whether she’s perceived by the public more as a Myra Hindley or an Oprah Winfrey type.
