The c**t's c**t.

Genuinely one of, if not the biggest disappointments of last night was seeing him scrape in with a majority of around 500.

So close.

Are there any good Scottish Labour MPs from the new intake?

Will be interesting to see if the Tartan Mafia makes a resurgence but my guess is they're all centrist nobodies that won't upset the apple cart

I see that Blair "Better Together" McDougall has bobbed back to the surface in East Renfrewshire. An absolute Branch Manager if ever there was one.

Any predictions we will be talking about a Burundi scheme instead?

I think it's the case that they're still wanting 3rd country processing, just not Rwanda.

Theres a big difference between “3rd county processing”, and the recently abolished Rwanda scheme though.

3rd country processing means that the refugee is sent to a 3rd country to stay there while their application is processed. If the application is successful they then return to the UK.

The Rwanda scheme was effectively the UK washing their hands of refugees altogether. The migrants would be sent to Rwanda to apply for asylum in Rwanda.

Most major Western countries are considering third country processing. Starmer refused to rule it out but also didn’t say for a fact he’d use it.

With the appointment of Hilary Benn as Northern Ireland secretary, every Labour Prime Minister has had a member of the Benn family in their cabinet.

Ahhhh, Minister Benn.

Until now I always though it was Mr.

Partnering Cooper is Reeves. Opposition forwards will get little change from her. (The same as the rest of us)

A disgusting individual who would be an ardent Tory had they had a chance of winning.

I think he's a total slimebag but Douglas Alexander has previous form on the front bench and may make an appearance from the subs bench in future.

Patricia Fergusson was also elected and she's one I'd actually heard of from before.

"Scotland! We've got it back, we've got it back" said one (Labour activist)"

Jonathan Freedland, the Guardian

Nice to know the old arrogance hasn't returned, isn't it.

Ferguson came canvassing at my door during election and gibbered some nonsense about "turning Scotland 's NHS around" until I pointed out Labour's  NHS record in Wales ....needless to say she left in a hurry .

I don't think Alexander is human....he's the only person I have heard speak pish for 20 minutes without one umm,err ,ah or mmh.

I assumed he was a shoe in for Secretary of State for Scotland thankfully we have Ian Murray to represent our nations interests at the top table

I notice Alister Jack is to be knighted. I wonder what reason is given because it isn't "Services to Scotland". If you want truth in honours it should say "Services to Unionism"
