I have to say, though, very much like when Ole was in charge, that type of football can only take you so far. Generally, the England fans don't deserve Gareth Southgate. 3 semi finals is insane. He could win Euro 24, World Cup 26 then go and cure cancer and he would still be generally hated by England fans. As a Scotland fan, I want him to leave ASAP. forameus Posted July 6 Share Posted July 6 They've gone further in tournaments while looking like they might actually win games, but they've been largely awful at this tournament. The semi-final is shaping up to be which side can just be slightly less shit than the other, and it wouldn't surprise me if England do just that, and let the media talk about how they're clicking at the right time. The final has the potential to be interesting (something has to be this tournament). You'd imagine Spain should be there, and if they've gotten past France, you'd imagine they'd be licking their lips to go at England in a final. But France just seem to have the knack of doing the absolute bare minimum and going through. from then, they could either play like it's a World Cup final and pump whoever is in front of them like they did with Croatia (and threatened to do against Argentina) or play like it's a Euros final, and just not turn up.
