Lanarkshire vs Lancashire

Recommended Posts

Lancashire doesn't actually exist. It is just how English people pronounce Lanarkshire via their failure to roll the 'r'.

There are extremely kunty parts of Lanarkshire with defined ‘Old Firm leanings’… there aren’t in Lancashire.

Therefore… Lancashire 1 Lanarkshire 0.

Burnley did manage to elect a couple of BNP councillors at one point tho, so I’d call it a dishonorable draw. I lived in Bolton for a bit, it’s nice enough.

Lancashire: lost the War of the Roses to Yorkshire

Lanarkshire: didn't

The RAF had the Lancaster bomber. Parts of Lanarkshire look like they've been bombed.
