I don’t have issue with Blues himself being dropped as he’s been rubbish for months, but the overall balance of this midfield concerns me. There’s goals in this.

Partick right back is very close to being the worst right back I’ve seen the Ayr right back that day at cappielow is slightly ahead

In his defence, he’s a centre half.

And he’s still better than Ciaran McKenna was.

FWIW, objectively the worst right back in Scottish football history was Jim Fenlon of Ross County circa 2014.

Started dreadfully and seemed desperate to give a goal away by setting Morton up inside our own half. Have come into it a bit since then and Robinson should have done better with his 2 chances.

Williams is fine defensively but it is largely painful watching him with the ball at his feet- although it was a good ball to Robinson just before half time.

We don't talk about Elicha Ahui's debut.

Still gives me nightmares.

Partick are obviously the better team and it feels like a matter of time, but this has been considerably better than expected. 4-1-3-2 is an extremely bold move but we've maintained our defensive shape very well, in no small part due to Wilson playing out of his skin.

Despite Partick being by far the more threatening overall we've had the best chance of the game, with 10 solid seconds of excellent work from none other than Ali Crawford in the build up to defend a chance for Partick to put a cross in, win the loose ball after blocking it, carry us up the park then slip a pass into JET at the perfect time to give him a sitter, which was sclaffed straight at Roberts.

If they maintain this amount of pressure we won't keep a clean sheet facing this number of set-pieces, but all things considered being in the game at all is a big improvement from the League Cup performances.

We've tried the high floaty ball to the back post about 12 yards out for O'Reilly (or Ashcroft when he was playing) to head back across goal about a dozen times since the Clyde game, think the one just before half time was the first time it's even come close to working.

Pulling JET back to defend a corner begs the question... who is available for the outball for a counter attack?

He definitely fell into the competition winner category of shite didn’t he that lad. He can’t still be at any reasonable level of football can he?

We actually look alright where did this come from ?

Helped very much by how dreadfully bad we’ve been admittedly. If we lost this game we could have 0 complaints.
