This has been by miles our best performance this season. Good save from the Ayr goallie for the free kick and we have been a touch away from Kane having an easy tap in on two occasions. The referee’s been generally useless, made plenty mistakes both ways. But I still didn’t expect him to sh*t out of that second yellow. Such an easy decision to make, but he just didn’t want to. Nobody is asking for a straight red, but "stopping a promising attack" is literally one of the reasons to give a yellow in the laws of the game, and he was going to do that before he saw who it was. Young getting the nod ahead of Fisher is interesting and probably the correct decision based on last week.
