Ayr have informed Morton that, understandably, they will be subject to a security pat down today. Morton have requested this guy.

Boyes out is giving me the fear. Oakley spent enough time with Broadfoot and Baird to know how easily he can rile one of them into a red card.

At least we can unleash Stuparevic at 2-0 down with 15 minutes to go for a quickfire hattrick.

Rus in and howley has now  vanished, suprised to see Reading dropped, Hislop with the Scotland under 17s

Is Reading maybe not fit to play 90 minutes? I get confused, but I thought it was last week he didn't play at all?

If we bring on a proper striker to replace Reynolds, we could win this. Lack of a striker means the ball keeps coning back to us. Reynolds has been feeble. Tries hard but too lightweight and haven’t seen much pace.

Genuinely impressive levels of Colin Steven to manage to lose control of a first half that's only had about seven fouls in it. Had the pleasure of watching him inventing a freekick in his spectacular imagination from 10 yards away, a master at his craft.

Bit of a nothing game so far. Two teams who can be tidy enough in possession, Ayr much the tidier and spending far more time in our final third than we have in theirs, but no real chances created on either side. Couple of uncharacteristic fumbles from Mullen in our box, the fumble that led to Reynold's chance in theirs, but neither team cutting the other open properly.

Ayr do look far more likely and we're far too early in the season for me to confidently predict a clean sheet, but if this game had been happening six months ago I'd be saying it reeks of 0-0.
