Lisa Cuddy
Other drivers who take ages to pull away after traffic lights change to green Someone else says this the other day. It's that sodding stop-start technology. Pain in the tits.
weirdcal
Other drivers who take ages to pull away after traffic lights change to greenReally pisses me off the ones 4-5 cars back who are totally taken by surprise that the car in front of them moved after a min of green light.
Honest_Man#1
It's easy enough usually to tell when the lights are going to change, so you can get ready to go before it actually goes green.
RoversMad
Other drivers who take ages to pull away after traffic lights change to greenPhilpy in a hurry shocker...Someone else says this the other day. It's that sodding stop-start technology. Pain in the tits.I had this in a van I was using for a while, had to look in the handbook to see how to switch it off after about an hour of driving around Edinburgh.ETA only joking Philpy, it gets on my nerves too Edited February 16, 2015 by RoversMad

South Lanarkshire Jag
HMRC. Apparently I made an extra £5K during the tax year of 2012/13 and owe roughly £660 extra in tax. I wouldn't mind, only I didn't earn that money. Decided to phone up to resolve it, but was beaten to submission by the incredibly annoying "wait" jingle.

Stick it on in the background and give yourself an hour of me time with your favourite pornography a nice bubble bath.
philpy
Another rant about drivers - this time, people who for some daft reason decide to come off the slip road at the very end of them. What is the point???
Sergeant Wilson
Another rant about drivers - this time, people who for some daft reason decide to come off the slip road at the very end of them. What is the point???How is that against the rules?
philpy
Never said its against the rules, it just looks daft when you see someone doing it, either that or it infuriates you when you hang back to let them across in to the lane. (if you can't get across into the right hand lane that is)
philpy
As long as you dont cross any solid white lines (don't do it) then you really don't need to still be on the slip road the whole way along.
Sergeant Wilson
What are we like? Driving within the law, turning up at open shops...
BFTD
Maybe he means people who batter along slip roads at speed, then realise they've run out of room and force their way on anyway?
Sweaty Morph
Is this philipy guy for real?
Sweaty Morph
Anyway, my petty thing is, after watching Saturday's Football League Show, is the ridiculously zoomed in and shitty angle they show Portsmouth highlights in.

Honest_Man#1
I think he's just meaning if you brake and hang back to let someone on and they just keep trundling along in the slip road meaning you have to slow right down for ages?
Zen Archer (Raconteur)
Maybe he means people who batter along slip roads at speed, then realise they've run out of room and force their way on anyway? Exactly, the c***s that stomp so hard on the noisy pedal they almost reach escape velocity forcing you into hammering on the brakes to let them out.
