Savage Henry
Mr Williams-Thomas, a former detective who is now a child protection specialist, said: "I can't accept that Gerry and Kate as parents of the child could have been involved in her murder - even based on the fact that over 90% of murders are domestic-related. That sounds like someone with an alterior motive for speaking. Sounds a rather unscientific thing to say for a former detective.

Guest Ron Burgundy
Ms McCann said her brother and his wife were not able to hire a private investigator to work on their case as it was illegal in Portugal during an ongoing police investigation. Instead, the fund money, totalling more than £1 million from public donations, will be spent on further advertising campaigns including billboards. this woman is a fat liar...a fat horrible liar. Who is advising this swampy? On Monday we were contacted by a reporter of The Times, who told us that our investigation was illegal and he had received a press-statement from the Portugese Police that they made a complaint to the Dutch Police about Strongwood. At that moment we did not know anything about this because we where not called by the Police, Justice, Local contacts, Tipsters or someone else. We of course made contact with the Director of the PolÃcia Judiciária (Portugese Police) and on Thursday we where called back by one of the leading detectives in the Madeleine Case. He called on behave of the Director of the PJ in Faro and said that all shared information was helpful, that there wasn't made any complaint en they all appreciated our work and effort. It is not even against the law to help searching for a missing child. Strongwood and his team shared all the information and findings, did not interfere with the investigation and obey the rules for Portugal law.

Surely if the global coverage of this case was going to come up with something it would have done so by now...can't really see the point in more campaigns. If it was up to me I'd spend the million on hiring 10 of the worlds best private detectives to spend a month investigating the case. If that doesn't work then it's time to get on with their lives and hope that something turns up in due course
Guest Ron Burgundy
more of the fat arseholes wisdom...... Newspaper article The 39-year-old GP is reported to have written about how difficult it was to control Madeleine and her two-year-old brother and sister, and how her husband Gerry often left her to get on with family duties on her own. Yesterday, Mrs McCann's family dismissed the significance of any diary entries, saying she was just a normal mother. Philomena McCann, Gerry McCann's sister, said Kate had kept the diary to show to Madeleine when she was found. She said: "She's been writing down everything that we've been doing so we can prove to Madeleine that we have worked so hard to find her, that we've put our lives on hold to search for her and show our love for her is unending." yeah thats what a kid wants to read about, how her mother disliked her condition and how her father was never there to help...Philomena...take a bow.... is there a Nobel Prize for Chunky Wisdom?

Phil McCann can front the spinoff show 'Who's the Maddie ?' Total money spinner.

They'll be the UK version of OJ Simpson.
Ziggy
There was a report on the radio saying that a lot of the family members were preparing to re-mortgage their homes to help them pay their legal fees. I wouldn't

You'd think with the profit gained from the Maddie fund the McCann family would be able to buy a thesaurus. And I'm not even going to start on Philomena at the moment. -

Fudge
I've seen people on here and on other foums discuss how the body could have been exposed of. i've not read this full thread so someone has probably already mentioned it, but there is a big wet thing called 'the sea' close by which is pretty good for hiding stuff. Done the right way, there would be virtually no chance of the boddy being found it it was in some sort of weighted container. Fudge - one step ahead of the police.

Guest Captain Saintsible
The fact that Kate McCann found it difficult to deal with 3 kids all under the age of 4 isn't really earth shattering! That's hardly unique to the McCanns! I don't really see this as being evidence that they killed Madeleine! The only evidence they appear to have against the McCanns is partial DNA evidence - which to me entails a scenario which seems totally unbelieveable - that they managed to hide a body for 25 days and then move it again in the full glare of the media and the under the noses of the Police. The very fact that the Police can't find a body either makes that scenario even more unlikely - or they are the most incompetent Police forfce in the world! The McCanns are innocent!
