A couple of years ago the England middle order was a pretty serious unit, they blasted their way out of a good few top order collapses. But now they do not appear to have anyone who can consistently get big scores. Stokes is one of the top players in the world right now, and single handedly win a test match ala Botham in the summer. Surely there's pressure on root now?
