peasy23 Posted October 23, 2021 Share Posted October 23, 2021 This could just be me but does a lot of the hate for say the England football team come from the media being insufferable when they play, especially in a major tournament? Generally I think the punditry when it comes to the England cricket team is excellent and they all seem to be able to be critical on the team when they see flaws which makes it easier to want them to win? Obviously if they ever play Scotland you want Scotland to win but I quite like the England cricket team.Think it is exactly that. The football pundits have zero sense of perspective when it comes to comparing England to other teams, we've had years of them winning a couple of games at a tourney then the pundits immediately get carried away and have them winning it.Bizarrely, the opposite has often been true in the cricket coverage. Litton Das caught at mid off and whatever happened after it he and Lahiru had to be pulled apart with Litton waving his bat in the bowler's face.
