peasy23
Australia scored 280-8 in the second ODI, England started badly losing 2 wickets in the first over then lost a 3rd to be 34-3 in the 6th over. Vincent and Billings then added 122 but since Vince went it's been a steady flow of wickets. Now 189-8, less than a run a ball needed but only Dawson, Willey and Rashid left to try and get them over the line.

die hard doonhamer
England have added 18 year old leg spinning all rounder Rehan Ahmed to the test match squad to tour Pakistan. He was born 20 months after James Anderson made his England debut. If he makes his debut on this tour he will become the youngest to ever play test match cricket for England.
jaggyness
Also Jofra Archer bowled in the lions v england warm up match in Dubai today. He has also signed up to play in the new SA T20 competition this winter. I reckon he'll be injured again by February.

die hard doonhamer
Scotland in action against Namibia in Namibia, win the toss and elected to field. 33 overs gone and Namibia are 122/5. Brandon McMullen the pick of the bowlers with 3/11 from 7 overs. England off to a rapid start in Pakistan. 364-3 from 59 overs. Both openers got hundreds, Pope currently 71 not out and Brook on 31. Foakes missed out from the originally announced team with illness, so Pope will take the gloves.

FuzzyBear
First time over 500 runs on day 1 of a Test. Most runs in any day of a test by England and only 3 off the Sri Lanka record and only bad light stopped them getting it.
die hard doonhamer
Most runs ever on the opening day of a test as England finish on 506/4 from 75 overs when bad light stops play. They narrowly miss out on the most runs by an individual team on a day’s play, which is 509. Scotland kept Namibia to 211/9. Perth Doo’cot’s new signing Safyaan Sharif bowled very well towards the end. Erasmus of Namibia 96 not out at the end, Scotland did well to stop him pushing on at the end.

Yep. Anyone who says a cricket coach and/or captain don’t influence games can be disregarded safely. Fair play to Rob Key for making a fairly, erm, ballsy coaching appointment in McCallum. edit: the seethe the likes of Boycott must be feeling now is glorious. He’ll only pipe up when they get skittled out for 67. Edited December 1, 2022 by Savage Henry
