SA are still favourites, and Amla and DeVilliers are starting to build an innings here.

Storms forecast though.

I hear what you're saying but England bat down to Swann at No.9 and Ntini, De Wet, Morkel & Harris aren't the most fearsome attack - I'd fancy them to get 250 but maybe not 300.

Edit - interesting to see SA upping the tempo post lunch 37 in 9 overs.

Let's hope the weather doesn't screw up what could be a fantastic climax to this Test.

Although it's rapidly approaching the point where England need a couple of quick wickets.

Tea - Day 4

South Africa 418 & 182/5 (61.0 ov)

England 356

South Africa lead by 244 runs with 5 wickets remaining

Definitely SA's session 102 runs at 3.5/over with only one wicket falling. Looks like a fairly hefty 4th Innings total for England to chase.

Amla's hundred up, Boucher has fifty, lead is well over 300 now, just a question of whether Smith will take a chance and declare in time to have a bowl tonight. (He probably won't.)

Surprised me too!

South Africa 418 & 301/7d

England 356

England to chase 364 in 6 overs + a day.

Hundred partnership between Trott and Pietersen. And, much more importantly, a thirty over partnership, after the early losses of Anderson and Cook.

133/3, almost half way into the day's overs. So far, so not too bad.

169/3 at tea- 195 needed off 35 overs. Go along at 4 an over for the next 25, 100 needed off the last 10, KP and Prior to cut loose and win it with 3 balls to spare.

Or.......England's minds turn Paul Harris into Shane Warne, Murali, Mushtaq Ahmed and Monty Panesar combined and crumble to 220 all out, last man Ian Bell getting stumped off the last ball of the match charging down the track to try and hit a 6.

Which is the more likely scenario?
