peasy23
Sam Billings has just ended himself trying (and failing) to stop a boundary, looks like a bad shoulder injury.

First review of the game - Dhawan survives an lbw appeal on umpire's call. Kohli, as I've stated on many occasions, is an absolute c**t. However, I agree with him here. The tech is surely now good enough that, if not removed completely, the umpires call margin can at least be reduced.
Jimi Shandrix
Poor shot from Shreyas. KL comes to the crease after a horrendous time in the T20's. England dragging this back. Anything over 300 will be a decent challenge though.

But I think football is showing how an umpire’s call is pretty essential. I don’t really have too much of an issue with it. I think cricket got it right, where football got it so, so wrong. My main gripe is with the odd ball tracker which grossly exaggerates the bounce, but for the most part it works.
peasy23
Decent spell this for England, really cut the run rate down.
peasy23
Dhawan goes 2 short of his ton, India 197-4 and rocking a little.
peasy23
205-5 with Hardik Pandya out for 1.
Jimi Shandrix
Into the tail after these two. A lot of pressure on KL now. Think India would bite your hand off for 300 now.

peasy23
It's now more than decent from Krunal, 49 from 25 balls so far.Morgan has had stitches in his hand after splitting the webbing between his thumb and finger. Still not sure if Billings can bat or not.

Jimi Shandrix
Good lad KL. You can't keep a player of that quality down for too long.
peasy23
India 317-5, didn't think they would get that far when the 5th wicket fell.
peasy23
It's amazing how the momentum can shift so quickly. India seemed to be quite comfortable, but England then hit 22 off an over, 10 off one a couple later, and all of a sudden some worried faces on the Indian side.
peasy23
Krunal Pandya's first over in an ODI goes for 16. England scoring at about double the rate India did.

Going at a T20 scoring rate here, with all the batting still to come it is hard to see India coming back from this opening partnership.
peasy23
India were 83-1 off of 20 overs.England are 89-0 off of just 10. Phenomenal stuff from Roy and Bairstow.
jaggyness
Missed the India innings but very much enjoying Roy and Bairstow smash the Indian bowlers all around the place. Been mighty impressive from Bairstow in particular so far
