peasy23
South Africa added to the red travel list along with all it's near neighbours while the European Tour is in it's SA swing.Over a dozen players have withdrawn, no doubt they will be booking circuitous journeys home as anyone landing in the UK from a direct flight from South Africa after 4pm on Saturday will have to do an enforced hotel quarantine.
Caledonian1
I see David Drysdale has stayed out there (other three Scots pulled out with 13 others) Next two competitions are also in SA so hopefully those who remain in the country can get home after the conclusion of those,. Interesting to see a fee more Scots entered for next week but suspect they may withdraw soon Our course closed today due to the snow (and really high winds) cant see it open tomorrow and suspect thats it for summer greens as we will be on winter greens 'til start of March at earliest. Really is shocking weather today
peasy23
Will miss Tony Johnstone on commentary, he's always great on the SA tourneys I would guess the players who WD will be on thd same flight.

peasy23
The Jo'burg Open was cut short after 36 holes. It has already been shortened to 54 holes to help players get home, but the weather had already caused delays on days 1 and 2 and was getting worse. It means Thriston Lawrence wins the tourney.

Ro Sham Bo
The European Tour have realised that if these events don't carry fantasy golf points, they aren't worth playing.

Turns out they still handed out the 3 Open Qualifying spots that were up for grabs at the Jo"burg Open despite it only going half the distance.

Honest_Man#1
Anyone got any good recommendations for golf resorts/locations in Portugal/Spain? Looking at a long weekend next year and want at least a couple of on site courses to play.
