DomDom
Indeed, it's early doors. I'm kinda disinterested right now, so I sympathise with the crowd. It's "with the darts" stuff, and it's solid unspectacular stuff.
DomDom
Simon Whitlock almost threw that away there, but he shook himself down when Hamilton almost took out the 124. This is going to get interesting in a hurry. Cracking 170 from Whitlock to leave the tops there btw. The crowd seemed to be in awe at that one.
Marshmallo
This is gonna be a battle by the looks of things. If it's tight I'd back Hamilton to hold his bottle more than Whitlock. -
DomDom
Commentator called that right. Surprised the dart was so far away from D6 there from Hamilton. That's always a favourite double for people.
ChoppeReid
The other thing with Lewis is that he can throw them averages and just look like he can't be arsed. Look at the demolition he gave Anderson at the SECC and he looked like he didn't want to be there and just threw the darts accordingly. He's astonishingly gifted. While I agree he is talented and makes it look easy the SECC match wasnt exactly a good performance! Did he not average 85 or something?
The Naitch
While I agree he is talented and makes it look easy the SECC match wasnt exactly a good performance! Did he not average 85 or something? That was Aidy's average in the Premier League final - I'm almost certain he was a good bit higher than that in the match at the SECC. EDIT: Just checked that SECC match... Ando had a 87 average and Lewis had 88. Edited January 1, 2012 by The Naitch
The Naitch
That's the first significant break of throw from Hamilton - with the way he's holding his own throw I can only see one winner of this set.
ChoppeReid
Not enjoying watching this one. There is really something really dislikeable about Andy Hamilton. He just looks like total scum! Sure he is nice enough in person no doubt! Not looking good for Whitlock at all. Really needs Hamilton to have a dip in form.

mozam76
I'm not a huge fan of the guy, in fact I cannae stand him, but Hamilton is playing some fantastic darts here.
The Naitch
Whitlock's in the groove now - tremendous 170 checkout!

Neilly
This is heating up now right into the baws of the match. Both averaging around the 100 mark should be a belter from here on in. Whitlock was due to hit the 170 he's had a good 5 or so efforts so far at it.

If he can just hold his throw next set there will be loads of pressure on Hamilton. Will see how he handles it!
Davis Love III
To quote Bobby George, this game is going to be "lurverly jubbly!" *Mike Reid laugh*
DomDom
Aye, Whitlock has looked much better. I like Hamilton. He looks over aggressive, but he says that's how he feels he needs to play, so fair enough. I said on another thread about something else that some sportsmen need that edge to get the best out of themselves. He seems decent enough outside of that, and when praising opponents doesn't come across as patronising. His pace isn't even NEARLY as bad as made out either.
The Naitch
Hamilton has responded brilliantly in this set. Really digging in and throwing some quality darts.
Davis Love III
Hamilton has responded brilliantly in this set. Really digging in and throwing some quality darts. Yep, he has answered Whitlock's surge with another of his own. The quality of Hamilton's game has been exceptional all tournament. Incredibly consistent and clinical, so hard to beat in this form.
DomDom
Simon Whitlock's girlfriend looks like she's constantly crying.
