The Naitch
Fucks sake, has Adrian Lewis eaten his last few opponents? He was never that big was he? Aye, he's always been that big. It's Michael van Gerwen you need to watch out for, he's piling on the pounds like crazy.
tigerton
Lewis has changed his flights as well, but will his game go pear shaped now... *my coat's on*
The Naitch
Lewis has changed his flights as well, but will his game go pear shaped now...*my coat's on* Oh dear ... He's hitting 180's for fun, and what a cracking bull finish to take the first set too.
tigerton
Oh dear ... if Sid had said it, Dave Lanning would have started a ramble about him being a Geordie word smith worthy of poet laureate status still doesn't excuse it though Lewis is throwing superb!

Yep, no doubting that at all. Great 111 checkout to take the 2nd leg in this set. Edited December 22, 2008 by The Naitch
DomDom
Stewart grows in confidence bit by bit, and now looks like he can do a job on Lewis, so long as Lewis continues to throw lacklustre darts like he has been.
tigerton
This could be another seed in danger here, Lewis has lost his confidence completely!!
The Naitch
That was just a typical Lewis match. Legs of pure genius followed by legs of pure mediocrity. Rod Harrington's right (for a change) - a more solid player (Wade, Barney etc) will be able to overcome Jackpot in the later stages.
MTJ
As I predicted Klaasen all over Lloyd. Kirk Shepherd or Van Der Rassel in the next round is a superb draw too.
DomDom
I reckon it'll take a disaster for King to even drop a set here, nevermind lose. No way is there going to be an upset to end the night.
tigerton
Yongsheng just hit a 180 to leave a 2 dart finish and big Merv walks up and take out 105. Will he get that close to a finish again in the match? Cant see it, dont think hell get a leg sadly. hes just on 68, hit a 1 then a 2 then a 1 hes one nervous man.
THE HUNTER GATHERER
Fucks sake, has Adrian Lewis eaten his last few opponents? He was never that big was he? Not a bad wee bit of meat he's sticking it in aswell for a big boy, his bird is stunning Also that Mason is garboos, was saying in the paper the other day that he was going to retire if he got beat. Lets see if he does
RedWeb
Also that Mason is garboos Nae idea what garboos is but if you mean he's pish then I agree. Mason's time was a few years ago but jail and several other distractions has seen his game go down the pan. He'd be as well packing it in. The bloke he played only averaged 86 but he still spanked him 3-0.
Neilly
Backed Klaasen e/w at the start of the tournament and he looked pretty decent last night. Lewis has it in his locker to go all the way but it's the same old story for him losing concentration, playing to the crowd etc.
H_B
Fat Pieman cock has cost me money. Fortunately Nicholson has won without losing a leg! 8/11 as well.... Need Van Der Rassel to beat Shepherd to make a small profit.

Missed most of today's action due to work, but just caught up on the results and not suprised to see Nicholson whitewhash Adrian Gray. Guest shameless
Well That is the Darts done until after Xmas, then some good games to look forward to in the second round, think Adrian Lewis vs Nicholson will be a belter of a match. Best performance of the first round goes to Barney, as he appears to be finding form at the right time to go on a run and play Taylor in the final, now that is the things dreams are made of, he is the only one who can live with Taylor when Taylor is playing near the top of his game. James Wade proved in Blackpool that he is not quite at that standard yet, and he needs to calm his emotions down as well, he gets annoyed with himself too much. The best two in the world are Taylor and Barney, and they just go up on the stage and play darts, no shaking of the heads or pulling faces when they miss
