Thornton has nobody but himself to blame. Notice that Thornton only gets angry with the crowd when he's basically beat ? He wasn't going to win because Mardle was on the sort of form that you just don't see him in these days.

Super, super, super match.

When Robert won his first set he clenched his fists and the crowd were apeshit at him with who are ya, GSTQ and Engerland.

Nought wrong with that.

He had nothing to do with the booing though.

After his very first maximum Mardle ran to the crowd dancing like a ballerina while Robert was throwing!

There are some serious chips on shoulders in this thread.

If the World Championship was in Glasgow, the situation would be exactly the same in reverse, if not worse.

The only English guys who would ever get booed would be Manley or Lewis and they get booed most places because they go after it. Look at the Premier League in Glasgow no one gets favoured, maybe a bit of booing at the walk on f**k all else.

I refer you to mid-table's point. The crowd would be shouting 'who are ya' and 'Scotland, Scotland' to Mardle had he won the 1st set against Thornton in a Glasgow arena.

Wheres the proof of that though? Mardle works the crowd wherever he goes.

If it was in Glasgow, The Rangers fans would cheer on everybody English and the Celtic fans would cheer anybody playing against the English and the rest of us would support who the f*ck we wanted.

Absolute rubbish. What a waste of pixels.

Edit; I also thought it was game of the tournament so far, although I thought the other 2 games were quite good tonight, both could have been 7 sets too, especially the first match, I couldn't believe they both finished 4-0.
