Salvo Montalbano
Don't New Zealand usually rest a few players against us? We'll lose - heavily - but it surely won't be an annihilation. Australia are in good form and we're playing them after 2 very physical encounters so I can see us losing that one too sadly.
flyingscot
I'm expecting a thrashing from NZ and a defeat from Australia. Media will then start asking if we were right to bin Vern which would be a tad unfair.
Savage Henry
I'm expecting a thrashing from NZ and a defeat from Australia. Media will then start asking if we were right to bin Vern which would be a tad unfair. I have a certain amount of sympathy with that point of view, but Scotland reserves versus Australia and New Zealand is no grounds on which to judge that decision. I think retrospect will be kind to Fern Cotton, as the confidence he brought to the team was utterly bereft for about five years prior. If Scotland have either one or two wins in the six nations, I think questions can perhaps be asked. I have a feeling Scotland under Townsend are going to look a lot like Townsend as a player - often brilliant, occasionally hapless. He remains - alongside Tom Smith and Doddie Weir - my favourite ever Scotland player, so I’m rooting for him to be a success.

I'd actually settle for less than 50 points on the board. I'm terrified. it was also the last time the All Blacks failed to score any points.

Last time we beat Australia we may have been missing a bit of X factor without Hogg and Huw Jones, but we put out a pack of Reid, Brown, Fagurson, Gray, Toolis, Watson, Barclay and Wilson, and just as importantly, we had Nel, Ford, Dell, Swinson and Strauss coming off the bench. I just think we are considerably weaker in the squad this time, and that will be the deciding factor.

honestly united
To be fair the NZ reserves played on Tuesday so wouldn't play unless there were injuries.I think we are doing the Americas in the summer, us, Canada and Argentina

He was injured when the squad was initially announced, wouldnt be suprised if he was called up for the Aus game if he goes well for Sarries

NZ will no doubt do similarly v Fiji tomorrow, and Tonga vLebanon, while England will beat PNG but perhaps less convincingly on Sunday.
