Can we just withdraw ourselves from every international sporting competition? Nation full of losers. Maybe we should stick to curling...
Wee-Bey
Game is done by half time. Japan have been decent tbf, but dearie me.
Jim McLean's Ghost
Baffling tactics with the kicks. Either go short enough to actually contest or kick it long. Giving Japan eay possession in our half is bonkers. We also might want to try passing the ball. I don't think Sam Johnson has touched the ball in open play.
S7C
Essentially need to score 3 more tries and try to squeak it now. I can't see us winning by more than 7 if at all. Even then Japan look good for 2 bp. Edited October 13, 2019 by S7C
Lex
Pesky typhoon clearing up. Can we still take the draw?
Jaggy Snake
That decision making at the end. Hogg's kick was poor, and taken whilst Finn wasn't even looking which left him stranded. No chase or attempt to compete for the ball, then no reaction to Japan's movement. I wouldn't have cared if we'd taken stupid risks in that half but we had to stop kicking the ball away. You can't win a game if you don't have the bloody ball.
Deanburn Dave
So one more try by the Japanese and Scotland need 4 tries AND to win by more than 7 points to reach the quarters. Incredibly difficult.
FifeArab
New Zealand would smash us anyway. Saved further embarrassment.

He's had 3 on 1 against him twice in that half. What exactly would you like him to do?

DeeTillEhDeh
Japan are prepared to throw the ball about almost Fiji style and it's come off every time - but f**k me - our tackling has been abysmal at times. They've played the game at pace - we are incredibly one-paced. When we do get the ball, instead of going through the phases, we've been slow in getting it out of the maul, then, when we do, we have no option but to kick. We need a miracle second half.
Hip Priest
We're pish and I'm having to watch this in a pub in London. Locals are loving it... Japan have been very good tbf.
Mark Connolly
Watching our try again, that was actually a dreadful kick from Russell as well
Dysart
Embarrassing stuff, would have been better if it had been postponed then Scotland could have claimed a moral victory
S7C
That offload was clearly forward.

It relatively cool temperature wise, so we don't even have heat/humidity as an excuse!
Swarley
Is it too late to get the game cancelled?Could you head to the stadium and set off the natural disaster alarm? Or summon Godzilla?
DeeTillEhDeh
Still convinced that's forward - but it happened so fast.
