The Lions set up to be utter shite....Murray and Biggar...and tried to win the game by being slightly less shite than the Boks. Thankfully it didn't work. Maybe, just maybe, Gatland might try to play just an iota of rugby next week.
peasy23
Lions can rightly complain about a couple of decisions, but they have played appallingly badly today. Very few things they have done well.
GordonS
Looking forward to Hogg v Le Roux at Murrayfield in November.
Wee-Bey
The officiating has been incredible tbh, some utter nonsense. Not least the refusal to even consider pulling up De Klerk for what was a no arms, shoulder to Murray's jaw. This doesn't take away from the fact the Lions have deserved f**k all from this game.
GordonS
Would it be fair to say SA got more - or at least as much - out of the referee today than the Lions got last week?

It's the French ref in the Wales Vs England game all over again. It’s a really poor performance from a generally excellent referee. Nothing can be done about the try, but certainly the tackle in the air can be revisited, as it’s an atrocious decision.

Justified it bacause it worked in the first test.
DeeTillEhDeh
Another no arms tackle ignored. This referee is a fucking joke.

Left Back
Has there been a single break by the Lions backs in this game?
Joey Jo Jo Junior Shabadoo
Referee, smeferee. Gatland has made an absolute John Lacey of this. ETA: I’ll go back and greenie the Munster 2008 comment from earlier in due course. Angus_Don
Anyone think we might see a team with no Scots in it next week? Edited July 31, 2021 by Angus_Don

John Lambies Doos
Think we might see a team with no Scots in it next week? Think Hamish Watson and Russell may be involved and possibly Zander. A Watson was worst under high ball so I expect hogg or vdm may start but not both. Williams and Adams will be involved
DeeTillEhDeh
First things first. Yes - the referee was appalling - but to be quite honest the Lions did not deserve anything from that game. Trying to play South Africa at their own physical game was just asking for trouble. A complete lack of ambition to give the ball to the backs by the Lions - Murray was hooked far too late. Hopefully Curry will be cited and Mish comes in - yet again he did nothing to merit the reputation he has. I would really love it if Russell were fit - even to be on the bench - but Price has to start next game. Think Adams in for DVDM and Williams possibly on the bench this time. And FFS don't start with Vunipola.
