BT commentary team and that fanny Flatman in the studio have been in full "Defend Ellis" mode as well. He's a nasty wee thug, and a vastly overrated player.

In the Genge incident, I'd have thought if it was just the hair pull, the yellow would suffice, and everyone would be fine with it. The fact they all seem to have missed the punch, and the contact around the eyes, is baffling.
Mark Connolly
Great effort from Wasps. Ellis Genge was shite, the great hope Freddie Steward was shite, George Ford was shite. Lovely.
peasy23
longer vid with ref/tmo discussion A red wasn't even considered at any point going by that, bizarrely imo. Lucky to only get yellow.Great defence by Wasps at the end there to end Leicester's unbeaten run.

I see Cameron Redpath makes his first start for Bath since last May today. He'll line up at 10 due to injuries to all Bath's other fly half options.
Detournement
Edinburgh soak up ten minutes of pressure including two held ups and one that was short then score with their first real attack. McBurney at hooker carrying hard and scored the try. Rowe scores for Irish. 7-7
Detournement
Moyano with a great finish to put Edinburgh back ahead. He's absolutely class. A nice backs move Vellacot- Lang-Kinghorn- Moyano with a couple of dummy runners in there as well. 7-14
Detournement
7-14 at HT. Irish giving away some daft pens. They have a guy out playing rebs on guitar at HT.
Detournement
Creevy was going to get a yellow from the TMO but the replay wasn't coming up on the screen. Irish demanded to see the replay and it was a blatant headbutt. Upgraded to a red. Brilliant!
Detournement
Edinburgh losing to 14 men now. Vellacot kicked it to no one under no pressure 30m from the Irish line then gave away a pen on the counter attack from Irish and they scored from close in from the line out. Detournement
Edinburgh had a scrum going forward in front of the posts in the final minute but the ref bottled it and gave it to Irish despite them being penalised in every scrum in the second half. Vellacot will be feeling pretty stupid.
Mark Connolly
Flatman can't see how Exeter took that down. Probably because he wasn't looking at the two Exeter players in the middle of the picture who tripped over their own feet before the rest of the maul fell over them.

He always make a judgement prior to the replay then sticks with it regardless of the footage. Poite erratic at the breakdown but poor decision making is killing Glasgow. Thompson has been poor.
Mark Connolly
Not quick enough or aggressive enough at the breakdown so far
