Changes in the European qualifiers for the 2023 RWC. Spain played an ineligible player in 2 of their games. They have been deducted 10 points drooping them to 4th in the table and losing there place at the RWC for the 2nd time. Romania become Europe 2 and get a place in Pool B. Portugal now get the Europe 3 spot in the  Final Qualification Tournament.

Good game between Northampton and Harlequins at the moment, Huw Jones and Rory Hutchison both playing very well. Jones scored off a ridiculous piece of skill by Joe Marchant

Saints lost both their tightheads to injury early on, so it's 15v15 with uncontested scrums, and it's fast as f**k.  The poor replacement tighthead knocked himself out by running squarely onto Courtney Lawes elbow as he tried to bind on and drive him forward

Hadnt realised Josh Straus had been playing for the Tel Aviv Heat in the European Super Rufby cup, knocked out in the semi's a few weeks back

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tel_Aviv_Heat

Having looked through the teams its a mixture of locals and a few known jobbers (ie Nic Groom)

What a finish to the London Irish-Wasps game.

Wasps lead 39-14 at one point, then 42-35 as the game entered injury time. Irish got a penalty in the Wasps half, which their outside centre inexplicably took quickly, and got levelled and driven backwards.

Except the tackler wasn't 10, so they got another penalty, which they kicked into the corner. Drove the lineout, and hurtled over the line in the corner. Neither the ref nor AR had a grounding, so they went to the TMO. TMO shows that Launchbury had hauled the maul down, so instead of having a tricky conversion from the touchline to level it, Irish got a penalty try, no kick needed, and got the draw!

10 players out and 2 in for next season so far,

Suprised by Lambert and Stewart leaving, sounds like Lambert already has something else lined up, wonder if Edinburgh would be an option for Stewart?

Yeah, I liked Lambert a lot from what I saw if him at last season, him and Stewart were the two who surprised me, though I suppose Matthews has been playing reasonably well.

Pretty galling the troubles we had with starting centres in the 6N to see Hutchinson, Bennett and Jones (albeit at 15) looking pretty great recently. I dunno if something has gone on with Hutchinson but if Redpath is our first choice it's crazy Hutchinson hasn't been properly tried as 12 for us. He's wee and not particularly quick so no guarantee it would work out but on profile he's surely the closest alternative to Redpath.

Doesnt look good given the have been in trouble before, you would have thought they would be squeaky clean given their past history.

His club are likely to be in trouble as well now. From what I heard, they changed dates on copies of his passport as they wanted him registered as a spanish national so they could play more foreigners, never expecting him to get selected for the national team. The FER never checked the details on these copied passport and thought the dates were genuine and selected him without verifying they were correct.

Also has anyone else on PnB been done out of an international career by posting too many holiday post on social media? #saffanotspanish?

Munster lose on penalty kicks to Toulose. Turned it over for the start of Leicester v Leinster but the Munster game was still deep in Extra Time.

both teams missed drop goals near the end.

Never seen a kicking contest before. Munster missed 3 of 5 kicks which was a good laugh with conor Murray missing from dead in front.
