Hardly surprising I was going to comment on they wouldnt get in in front of the Leinster team, but obviously the Leinster 1st and 2nds split the vote meaning it was all SA - I mean 10 Saffers, 5 Irish is some split URC Dream Team: 1 Ox Nche (Sharks) 2 Johan Grobbelaar (Bulls) 3 Thomas du Toit (Sharks) 4 Jean Kleyn (Munster) 5 Ruan Nortje (Bulls) 6 Marcell Coetzee (Bulls) 7 Nick Timoney (Ulster) 8 Evan Roos (Stormers) 9 Craig Casey (Munster) 10 Ross Byrne (Leinster) 11 Leolin Zas (Stormers) 12 Damian Willemse (Stormers) 13 James Hume (Ulster) 14 Seabelo Senatla (Stormers) 15 Warrick Gelant (Stormers)

Also looking at the squad the A team squad is going to be some mix, there are some players that you can tell are definetly there for the A team game, then some positions like scrum half, where you have Price and White as the top 2 (going on 6 nations) then Horne is 3rd choice, who is into double figures of caps, so wont be gaining anything from playing, same as a few other positions. We only have 1 full back also in Smith, with Kinghorn the only back up. Obviously a few others that can play there but not there first choice position. I would have preferred them to go with 2 experienced choices in each position then a 3rd choice as a youngster who would play the A game then learn something on the rest of the tour and maybe get some game time in the full tests, rather than the usual suspects as squad fillers Scotland squad Forwards: Ewan Ashman (Sale), Jamie Bhatti (Glasgow), Magnus Bradbury (Edinburgh), Dave Cherry (Edinburgh), Andy Christie (Saracens), Luke Crosbie (Edinburgh), Scott Cummings (Glasgow), Rory Darge (Glasgow), Matt Fagerson (Glasgow), Zander Fagerson (Glasgow), Grant Gilchrist (Edinburgh), Jonny Gray (Exeter), Jamie Hodgson (Edinburgh), Ben Muncaster, Pierre Schoeman (both Edinburgh), Javan Sebastian (Scarlets), Sam Skinner (Exeter), Rory Sutherland (Worcester), George Turner (Glasgow), Murphy Walker (Glasgow), Hamish Watson (Edinburgh), Glen Young (Edinburgh) Backs: Mark Bennett, Matt Currie, Darcy Graham (all Edinburgh), Adam Hastings (Gloucester), George Horne (Glasgow), Damian Hoyland (Edinburgh), Rory Hutchinson (Northampton), Sam Johnson (Glasgow), Huw Jones (Harlequins), Blair Kinghorn (Edinburgh), Rufus McLean, Ali Price (both Glasgow), Kyle Rowe (London Irish), Ollie Smith, Ross Thompson, Sione Tuipulotu (all Glasgow), Duhan van der Merwe (Worcester), Ben White (London Irish)

He was at the Monaco Grand Prix in a knee brace and didn't play in the Racing fixture on Sunday. I'm quite surprised to see Darge and Fagerson in there after their injuries, fingers crossed it's not too quick. Hopefully we get a look at a Johnson-Hutchinson midfield. Thompson, McLean and Smith are miles off Test standard at the moment but hopefully this brings them on a bit. There was a rumour Fin Smith who played 10 for England u20s but has a grandfather who got 14 caps for Scotland and was a Lion in the 50s might switch to us but he's obviously not ready yet. Based on Huw Jones' recent performances there for Quins, he may well be first choice there, as much as we would probably all prefer to play him at 13!
Detournement
Townsend has stated he has been talking to Fin Smith and mentioned that both his parents are Scottish. He also said Sale winger Tom Roebuck who was born in Inverness was a potential inclusion. He also said they see Murphy Walker as a tighthead. Hopefully he gets the bench spot for the Test matches.
GAD
The Bulls are Leinstering Leinster here and to say they don't like it is the understatement of the year.
GAD
This is a very watchable game. Leinster could bottle this. They are doing all that lovely stuff when they are bottling it like dropping easy passes, shiting out of high balls and constant verge of tears tantrums at the ref.

come on shire
Pete Horne to join Glasgow's coaching team as skills coach next season. I'm happy with this as his brother's in the playing squad and he knows the club inside out too. Al Dickinson to remain as scrum coach. Nigel Carolan and Pete Murchie staying in the coaching team too. Just the head coach to think about now...
Detournement
Tim Swinson is retiring after the Premiership final. He seemed to raise his game down South to a level that he couldn't reach in his final season at Glasgow. Maitland started and Taylor was subbed on in the semi final the past weekend.
