Great game this, and to keep being raging for a minute shows that Scotland are playing to the prevailing style of two years ago yet again. The teams with a genuine ambition to win this tournament are not trying to keep games tight, they're playing expansive attacking games and trying to outscore the opposition.

We shat it, bag of nerves. Wales are shite, but bigger 10 times the player Russell was today.

The biggest issue for us in attack was trying to play expansive rugby at the wrong time leaving players isolated.

I genuinely don't mind us paying it tight but can't seem to make our minds up if we are a tight team or an expansive team.

We kept themselves in the game especially when Russell thought he'd do his once per game moment of stupidity and get binned. We've come away with a bonus point too.

However our discipline and penalty count's atrocious. They talk in the Scotland camp that this is the time to deliver but to win the 6N you need to win away apart from in Rome. You won't do that with getting carded and giving away penalties like sweets. Toony needs to read the riot act to the coaches and players on this issue.

If we still have ambitions of winning the 6N this year then we need to win at home to France then a winning BP in Rome.

Today was brainless...

We're a team that can't win in an away ground with fans in it

Teams that lose to that Welsh gang have no chance of winning the 6N.  Ireland utterly destroyed them FFS.  England will take them apart by 30 or 40.

I only saw the last 25 minutes on the bus home from the Petershill game, but it was very unimpressive stuff from Scotland even before Finn got binned. That whole passage of play stemmed from nobody being alert enough to get the rebounded penalty off the posts.

I'm 50/50 on Finn's yellow. He might have caught it if the Welsh player wasn't in the way, but if you go one handed and don't collect it you'll get penalised 99 times out of 100. That aside, we gave away a shedload of avoidable penalties, and repeatedly dropping the ball in the tackle didn't help either.

God knows what Biggar was thinking when he kicked the drop goal. Camped on your opponents line with an extra man? Should have been instantly pulled for an HIA.

Can't believe the Welsh player wasn't yellow carded. I can't see any contact at all with the arm before the head, and there was zero attempt to wrap his left arm.

Its only one game, its only 3 points..but I can't help but feel we have taken a massive step backwards.

Did we really take a step forward

Our big wins were in empty stadiums

Soon as fans return we're back to great at home awful away

Good point, why is that? Great players can blank out crowds. We just shite it from these daft Leek & Guinness hats

And opposition gets lift

True great teams are still better despite the opponents lift
