Compliment Sandwich
Nothing, but Mrs Bold's just got up to make a cup of tea. She's a doll. Scottish Blend - excellent. 3 hours to make a cup of tea???
Hedgecutter
3 hours to make a cup of tea??? I leave mine to brew for at least 4hrs. Anything less is just too weak for my taste.
Bold Rover
That wasn't the breakfast tea. She's now made me milky coffee. Mrs Bold's not cheap but top value.

Florentine_Pogen
I was working my way through the Haymarket Bars cask stuff last night cause the worst pint of Tenants I ever received came from there. Not that I drink it a lot. Anyway usual hit and misses, but found a good one called Jack IPA, I'd certainly never seen it before, but it was a cracking pint, so I had another. Their Xmas ale on the other hand. Boak. Ferfuxake, Widge.........if the Haymarket area is your normal stomping ground, make Thomson's Bar on Morrison St. your local. Great beers, great pies, no puggies, no juke-box.......................great trad bar for auld caants like sjc............oh, and me too ! Indeed I don't like it, but one of my colleagues got off the train and he said meet him there. I didn't get the choice.

I didn't get the choice. At one stage there were three pubs with Haymarket in their name there, the Haymarket Inn which has now gone, the Haymarket aka the Haymarket Bar but also Ryries which had Haymarket Tavern or something written on it even although everybody knew it as Ryries. A crowd of us sat in different pubs waiting on each other through unspecific instructions. Does anybody remember what Ryries' official other name used to be? Edit - found it. CityDave
I love Finlandia vodka, its the best so far, really smooth with a tint of barley. On my second bottle of the clear stuff and drinking it neat but might just go for the grapefruit flavoured one sold in Morrisons. I like to leave the vodka in the freezer for a few hours makes it syrupy, but I'm quite happy drinking it at room temperature. Give it a few weeks of drinking this stuff and up here in the frozen north of the Highlands I'll be doing as the Finns do. or Edited December 12, 2014 by CityDave

I've got a bottle of Reyka vodka in the drinks cabinet and it's marvellous stuff. Got a bottle of Russian Standard in the freezer which I quite like too, albeit not half as much.
