Eednud
SYP Ale, an American Pale Ale from Watsacowie Brewery, Minlaton on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. A new one for me and they’ve produced a good one. SYP is Southern Yorke Peninsula. Some trivia, Minlaton is 93 kms as the crow flies west of Adelaide but 202 kms by road. The Yorke Peninsula is a major barley and wheat growing area, the can design is supposed to depict barley fields fallow then growing then ready for harvest, I think. The SYP has some great beaches and surfing on the south west coast but it’s also the area of 2 of the last 4 fatal shark attacks in South Australia (Dec 2023 and Feb 2014).
Eednud
Botanic Ale, a limited release from Coopers. It was released to coincide with WOMADelaide last weekend. WOMADelaide is held at Botanic Park and Coopers is one of the sponsors. This is Coopers Sparkling Ale with the addition of NZ Nectaron hops and a juniper infusion. Thankfully the juniper is only a hint. This is the same strength as Sparkling Ale (5.8%) but with the tweaking doesn’t taste as strong.

GTee
Had the one on the right - 9% - but very nice. Away to pour the other one - 11%. Then bed after the fitba. Worrying that the Dons could play the Arabs with Jim Goodwin in charge.

Eednud
Brew Tassie Lager from Moo Brew, Bridgewater, Tasmania. Agree with their comments copied from their web site. THE STATS ABV: 4.3% IBU: 16 Hops: Topaz, Magnum STYLE While this beer was made to be a 'crowd pleaser', it will also please most individuals. FLAVOUR NONSENSE Low bitterness, low flavour, low-ish booze-content, low hop influence. The beer they should give you in the pub if you ask for 'just a beer, please.' CANNED FACTS Lager. Dad beer. The most lager-y, beer-y beer we could make.
Eednud
Unplugged Helles Lager from Mountain Goat, now part of CUB/Asahi. This is a bit on the sweet side which is a disappointment. ETA: just cracked a second one and that I put in the freezer for a while and it’s doesn’t taste as sweet as the could have been colder one in the photo. Less of a disappointment now. Craig fae the Vale
North Taproom in Leeds. Very busy but a nice shop. Transmission IPA, lovely.
Craig fae the Vale
Embargo. A collaboration between local boys Kirkstall and California's Sierra Nevada. Big fan, lovely West Coast style pale ale.
Craig fae the Vale
And a delightful Pineapple and Coconut Lassi Sour from North and Bundoblast. Very impressed with this pub.
Bold Rover
Random question, I realise: any of you know of a decent pub in downtown Wolverhampton? Headed there tomorrow on a work mission.

GTee
Double checking last night's drinks were decent. This one is noticably strong, but quite tasty. Surprising change in fortune for the Dons today.
GTee
This I&G stuff is normally a whopping £15 a bottle. However this deal has been on for a while.
GTee
Night cap. Tastes a wee bit like someone's poured a Laphroaig in your ale.
Craig fae the Vale
In Brewdog Leeds because it is 2 minutes away from the hotel and on the way back from The Key Club. Got Brewdog's Simcoe Solo, which is a pretty nice IPA
Craig fae the Vale
Got a wee takeaway for the hotel. Wagon Wheel inspired sour from Vault City. Delightful.
