Ross.
Aarau v FC Zürich on Thursday night. Replay of a league game that was abandoned a couple of months back due to an electrical failure meaning the floodlights were out of action. Distinct piece of irony there, in that Aarau are usually sponsored by the local electric company and that night was due to be the first game of a temporary sponsorship that was to see the Aarau Ultras sponsor the home top.

Aarau won 3-1 but both sides could easily have scored 6 or 7 each. Rarely seen a game so open at professional level, both defences were non existent. Got soaked to the bone too, the rain was constant and it was unusually cold, to the extent I ended up leaving on the 85th minute to make sure I caught an earlier train. First time I can recall ever having left a game early for that reason(Been many a game finished in the social club...). If anyone gets a chance to watch the highlights, Aarau's 3rd goal was a joy to behold, rarely seen a better counter attack from start to finish.

Shanner
Just got ticketed up for the Bradford end for the play off final next week. Some eye watering prices to witness participants of such dubious quality- teams that are by definition also rans. Plus the "Wembley Fee" FFS. Better be good!

Mate had dished out £480, train and two nights accommodation, prior to today on the hope he would get his mitts on two tickets for the Millwall end for his wife and himself when they went on sale at 1000hrs this morning. His wallet is now £160 lighter!

Eednud
Australia v Saudi Arabia World Cup qualifier at Adelaide Oval tomorrow night. This is a must win for us as we are 3 points behind them and Japan and their goal difference is +3 better than ours. Will settle for a 1-0 win though.
