Connor1874
Edinburgh City 1-0 Cowdenbeath on Friday night. Attendance given as 424. Not entirely random, but my first League 2 match. Only watched City twice before, a Scottish Cup tie vs Banks O'Dee a few seasons back and a play-off match vs Brora at Meadowbank the season before they came up. What made it more random for me though, was the fact my wee girl wanted to take her. I was thinking of leaving it but she decided I was going and she was coming with. She's 8 and while I've took her to Tynie a few times, she has little to no interest in football at all so I was shocked to say the least! She showed a bit of interest in the opening minutes but fell asleep for most of the 2nd half. Let her have my Newcastle scarf to wear so she looked the part. I wore a Viktoria Koln scarf as its at least black and white albeit with red on too. Not the best game to watch. Cowdenbeath looked very poor and City weren't great either but were comfortable. Very little in the way of chances but a well taken finish to get the breakthrough.
Craig fae the Vale
Kirkintilloch Rob Roy 2-2 Lanark United (Lanark win 5-3 on penalties) Rob Roy looked in total control before two late goals from the visitors took in to penalties. Lanark perfect from the spot and progress into the third round of the Kilmarnock Pie Cup. The seats at Benburb were all packed up tonight. Anyone know what's going on there?

Le Tout P'ti FC
Bonnyrigg Rose 2 Cumbernauld Colts 0 HT.Win for Bonnyrigg takes them into the Highland/Lowland play off. They are playing pretty well so far, imagine they will see this game out easily enough. The gravy in the steak pie I bought for my dinner was heated to the temperature of a space shuttle re-entering the Earth's atmosphere.
Craig fae the Vale
Glasgow City 10-1 Aberdeen Women. Aberdeen took the lead early on and then proceeded to get absolutely pumped. A rough trip back up the road awaits them tonight.
atfccfc
Edinburgh City V Stenhousemuir. Finished 1-1 in a very good and entertaining match. Two cracking goals. Jack Brydon with a 20+ yard screamer into the top corner to give City the lead. The Warriors equalised after a excellent move with Thomas Orr flicking a cute shot past the goalie. Game remained end to end. Thought Stenhousemuir had the better chances and were unlucky not to collect 3 points. Pity only 182 turned up to see it! Charles Stiles
Rab's travelogue of the Norwich game's late. Maybe still stuck on the M6. ETA. Looks like we're on for a Cove report instead of his 'random' Liverpool updates. Can't have wanted to risk the M6 roadworks. The Doonhamers reach the 2021-22 Challenge Cup Final with a goal ️ in the 2nd minute proving to be enough to see off Cove. Craig fae the Vale
Scotland Schools 3-2 Northern Ireland Schools at Renfrew tonight. A good win for the Young Scots who were mostly in control of the game. A stoppage time goal for NI made it look closer than it was.
Jute
Penicuik Athletic 1-2 Blackburn United. Bad loss for Penicuik but still have a game in hand on Linlithgow. For Blackburn a big win that leaves them 1 point away from getting out of relegation places. 251 in attendance. GroundhopScot
https://groundhopscot.wordpress.com/2022/03/06/club-41-279-threave-rovers/ Threave Rovers 3-1 Abbey Vale. What a lovely ground and town this is. A closer game than the scoreline suggests but goals win games. The blog is attached at the top of the post, give it a read if you can!

I was at the reverse fixture just last week which Penicuik dominated throughout. Hard to believe they'd then lose to Blackburn just seven days later
Christophe
Doubler for me on Saturday: Game 1 - Bacup Borough 6-1 St Helens Town This was part of the North West Counties League groundhog weekend with staggered kick-off times across the weekend to allow the hoppers to get to several games across the weekend. 460 in attendance. Hell of a slope on this park, being built horizontally onto the rolling hills of the South Pennines. Difference of several feet from one side of the park to the other! Was an easy enough afternoon's work for the home side against a St Helens Town well adrift at the bottom of the table. Made even easier after a Town player was booked at 2-1 down for a tackle and proceeded to talk his way into a second before the ref had even got the card out
Christophe
Game 2 - FC United of Manchester 10-0 AKS Zly Didn't follow the North West hoppers games but instead went onto Moston for my second game of the day. FCUM Vs a Polish outfit in the Fenix Trophy. A European Cup of sorts for fan built clubs around the continent. Always going to get different standards of quality in a tournament like this and the lads from Poland weren't much better than a Sunday league team. United 7-0 at half time and even after half an hour were taking the foot off the gas. Passing amongst each other when clear through on goal etc. It was all played in great spirits tbf, the United crowd booing their own team, and cheering on visiting attacks. Chants of "Poland's No1" rang out when the Zly goalie made a good double save. The Polish swapped keepers at half time and the keeper ended up in full kit in the United terrace, downing pints and having his name chanted and pogoing away with the home fans. Good fun afternoon despite the no-contest, it was something different! 1,255 in attendance and the United fans seem to have a Main Stand Vs Terracing good-spirited battle going on amongst themselves. Each having their own songbook and taunting each other throughout the game. Edited March 6, 2022 by Christophe
Craig fae the Vale
Morton Women 7-4 Edinburgh Caledonian Women. Not the highest quality game I've ever seen but plenty of entertainment throughout the 90 minutes.

Christophe
Campfield 1-1 Middlesbrough Dormans (Middlesbrough win 2-4 on pens) FA Sunday League Cup QF Campfield of Liverpool are the defending national Sunday League champions but got put out at the quarter final stages this year by the Middlesbrough outfit. Really good game this, evenly matched over the 90 minutes. Goalless until the 87th minute when Middlesbrough scored what everyone thought was the winner. Campfield went straight up the park from kickoff and equalised on 88! Straight to penalties and the side from the North East dethroned the champions to go on to the semi-finals. Great standard for the level. Edited March 6, 2022 by Christophe
