highlandcowden
due to transportation issues as a result of the storm i was at glasgow utd-ardeer thistle in shettleston yesterday rather than the rovers-cowden game of the day
Christophe
New ground this evening. #116 - The Heath (Cheadle Heath Nomads) Cheadle Heath Nomads 0-7 Stockport Town Thought I'd sounded out a nice evenly matched derby game here. Both sitting mid-table in the North West Counties Division 1 South, with a single point separating them. Instead the hosts got absolutely battered. Funny old game
BullyWeeStonehouse
This is without a doubt my favourite thread on here.
GroundhopScot
I was lucky enough to take in my first Edinburgh derby last night. Despite not seeing any goals I was in awe of the atmosphere and occasion. The link to the write up is below, give it a read if you can... there's an incredible personal claim at the bottom too (it's true, I promise). https://groundhopscot.wordpress.com/2022/02/02/club-36-279-hibernian/
Crow
Raith Rovers 3-3 Queen of the South @ Starks Park 🏟. Brilliant game in the Scottish Championship on Tuesday night with Queens coming back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to secure an away point. Raith also saw a penalty saved at 2-2. Crowd 1005.
Marten
Woodford Town 1-1 TakeleyEssex Senior LeagueI'm a couple of days in London and I found this one for tonight. Woodford have been in exile for around 30 years and finally moved back into the borough from this season. The ground isn't great, but understandably, the locals are just delighted they've got a home again. In the category "it's a small world", my Lochee United scarf got recognised a few times, including by a Woodford Town committee member who has family in Lochee. I even bumped into another P&B member, pyramidic.
Christophe
New ground #117 South Liverpool 4-1 St Helens Town - North West Counties League: Division 1 North A disappointing identikit leisure centre/high school style 3G pitch and high green fencing effort here, with the obligatory multi-coloured pitch markings for 5's and hockey etc... Another one to tick off the list though. Decent crowd and I believe above average for them, no doubt attracted a few neutrals in with the Friday night offering. Saints are bottom of the table, double figure points adrift and on -67 goal difference so a battering was to be expected but to be fair they didn't look as bad as that suggests and had some decent spells.
Craig fae the Vale
Two games today following our early call off. Vale of Leven 2004 0-3 Clydebank 2004 A well deserved victory for the Bankies but some very promising players on show for the Young Vale. The future looks bright. Dumbarton Academy FPs 0-1 Tower Hearts Nine man Tower somehow manage to win. A highly questionable penalty the difference. Referee was hopeless throughout, seemed to struggle with even the most basic of rules.

Jute
Haddington Athletic 4-2 Inverkeithing Hillend Swifts (aet). Enjoyable game despite the conditions and missing first 10 minutes due bus not turning up. Both sides tried to play football and scored some cracking goals. Haddington will do well if promoted on this showing.
Paul Kersey
Charlton 3 Wimbledon 2 quite an entertaining game, with all the goals coming from defensive howlers. A decent home support with a lot of noise coming from the fans behind the goal. Wimbledon must have brought around a 1000 or so. Their end was only about a third full. They did make a fair bit of noise though. Edited February 5, 2022 by Paul Kersey

Marten
Spurs 3-1 Brighton, FA CupThe new White Hart Lane is an impressive ground with excellent facilities. I will always prefer lower/non-league, but it was a good experience. Game wasn't very exciting, Spurs clearly the better side.

Marten
I got stuck in a crowd outside Charlton station after the match. It took me about an hour to get back into central London. I can just about make myself out on the left in the last picture there...I ended up taking the bus to North Greenwich on the Jubilee line instead and made my way to WHL via Stratford. Definitely the right decision as I heard the same from the people I was with at The Valley.
GroundhopScot
https://groundhopscot.wordpress.com/2022/02/06/club-37-279-lochee-united/ Lochee United 0-2 Tayport A disappointing day for the Bluebells but a wonderful away performance and a fair result. A great ground if you've never been. Give the write up a wee read if you can for a fuller perspective.
Craig fae the Vale
Rangers Women 3-1 Glasgow City A dominant display from Rangers despite having goalkeeper Jenna Fife sent off after 68 minutes. The win takes them two points clear with a game in hand.
Marten
AFC Bournemouth 0-1 Boreham WoodI witnessed a big cup shock today. Boreham Wood played really well and deserved it. They didn't give much away and took their chance when they got it. Lovely ground and a good trip.
German Jag
3. Liga. Runaway leaders 1. FC Magdeburg against midtable SV Wehen Wiesbaden. Current rules in Lower Saxony mean a maximum of 500 fans (against which numerous clubs are filing legal cases). No such issues over ‚the border‘ in Saxony Anhalt, with 15.000 currently allowed into the 28.000 capacity MDCC Arena. 9 fans in the away section saw their team go up 1-0, a penalty for Magdeburg took the the teams in level at half-time. 2nd half Magdeburg kicked on and sealed a relatively easy 3-1 win. Assuming H96 avoid the drop, will no doubt be in the away section at some point next season
