yogisbairns
Went to see Hajduk Split v Dundalk last week in the Europa League. Surprisingly, Dundalk won 2-1. Alas, they lost the first game at home 2-0. Dundalk could consider themselves a wee bit unlucky, as their decision making in front of goal let them down in the end. The Split fans are crazy. For 105 minutes they never stopped singing and backed their team. Roughly 10,000 turned up for the game at the Poljud stadium. Roughly a tenner for the ticket, and it was money well spent.
NorthernLights
Seeing as our first two home games have been moved/postponed I'll be going to see Inverurie v Strathspey on the 9th and Forres v Buckie on the 16th. Been to Inverurie before a few times but never been to Forres before.

JMDP
Was at Budapest Honved v Nyiregyhaza Spartacus in the Hungarian League today. Not a particularly great game, but enough to keep me interested. Horrific finishing from Honved allowed the visitors to sneak a 1-0 win. -

NE63 exile
Went do a double header yesterday in England. In the afternoon Lancaster City v Clitheroe in the Evo-Stick North League. A couple of famous old faces on show. Ex-QPR & Toon defender Darren Peacock is manager of Lancaster and his No2 is Trevor Sinclair. Sinclair made a cameo appearance from the bench and still looked as though he could do a job at this level. Then it was to Barrow for a 6.30pm Conference North encounter against Chorley. Holker Street (or what ever it's been commercially renamed) has always been a great venue to watch football. Good boisterous and vociferous home crowd made some noise. Well over 1500 in the ground. Two noticeable things. Both Referee's looked guys well into their 30s not like young boys who referee non-league football up here. Night and day between the standard down there and up here.

NorthernLights
Great effort. What one will you have left? It would be East Stirlingshire but until they get a ground of their own again I'll be on 41.
Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Augsburg 2-3 Borussia Dortmund, Friday 29.08.2014. Dortmund totally dominated for 75 minutes of the match, were winning 3-0 which really could have been more, until Augsburg brought on Raul Bobadilla and Tim Matavz for the innefective Nikola Djurdic and Shawn Parker. Bobadilla was causing Dortmund a few problems down the right hand side, and scored what looked to be a consolation goal on 81 minutes, but then Augsburg decided to actually show up, kept pushing until Matavz scored a fantastic header in the 90th minute, and Dortmund looked to be on the rocks, but managed to hold on for the win. I have to say, Augsburg were very disappointing for the majority of the match. They played with such a low tempo, and Daniel Baier, the player who usually make them tick, had an off-day, however when he picked up the ball around the centre circle, he didn't have a team-mate within 30 yards of him most of the time. Werner, Altintop, Parker and Djurdic were all poor, and it really took the introduction of Bobadilla go get them going. Dortmund's attacking trio of Mkhitaryan, Reus and Aubameyang ran the show, but as a team they looked vulnerable when they were actually put under pressure in the last 15 minutes. They were missing the likes of Hummels, Schmelzer, Gündogan and Sahin, so they should get stronger and stronger.
JMDP
Was at Fisher v Ramsgate in FA Cup qualifying yesterday. Cracker of a game, Ramsgate winning 4-2 with some fantastic goals and the best refereeing performance I have seen in a long time. Will probably be back, have developed a soft spot for the Fish and buying a membership to contribute to the running of a fully fan owned club. -
