DoingThe42
Clyde 1-3 Dumbarton, Scottish Cup, 26/11/2022 Second visit to NDP of the day and back to earth with a bump for the Bully Wee after two good draws with Dunfermline and Falkirk. This was absolutely desperate stuff. Deservedly beaten by a Dumbarton side who controlled the game throughout. Worrying for Clyde. Made my Fans Bar debut at NDP. Decent enough.

Craig fae the Vale
Renfrew Ladies 2-1 Hutchison Vale Women. A late winner for Renfrew just a couple of minutes after they had missed a penalty. Decent game. Marten
Luncarty 3-2 Thornton HibsMoorside Park, Dundonald BluebellFinal of the Alex Jack Cup today. An excellent game for a neutral. Luncarty took the lead early on, but Thornton Hibs equalised soon after. A penalty after a clumsy foul gave Luncarty the lead at HT. Around the 70 minute mark, Luncarty scored a third, but Thornton Hibs didn't give up and again scored soon after. They had some chances to equalise but I think the better side won.

tamthebam
My road to Hampden continued on Saturday at Albion Rovers. A familiar enough ground to me so I'll just post this nice photo of the stand at night that I took after the game.
Craig fae the Vale
Rangers B 5-2 Open Goal Broomhill. A fairly routine win for the Young Gers. 4-1 at half time and the second half almost a complete non event.
Popular Post DoingThe42
Irvine Meadow 1-2 Darvel, WoSFL Premier Division, 2/12/22. A decent game for my first time at The Medda, and my 50th game of the season. Both sides were down to ten men by half time, Darvel losing Chris McGowan to a straight red before Medda's Callum Graham stupidly evened it up by mouthing off at the linesman and getting himself the same punishment. Graham had been in the linesman's ear for a few minutes after not getting a foul he thought he should ave had. Really stupid to give up the man advantage so quickly and needlessly. Second half Irvine were probably the better side 10 v 10, and Rhys Wallace scored a smashing goal to level it up. Darvel nicked it at the end though and saw out the 2-1 win.
Craig fae the Vale
Milngavie Wanderers SM 2-3 Gladstone Athletic. Milngavie 2-0 up and cruising, but a penalty just before half time shifted the momentum and the visitors end up walking away with the three points in an entertaining game.

Guest
Blackburn United 0-1 SauchieI was here once a million years ago and back to see the new and improved New Murrayfield. Really impressed with the set up here, it is technically a cage but shows how you can make this sort of arrangement work. 10/10 for the Macaroni pie, and the folk, lovely bunch. The game however was dire. Two teams who never really came close to scoring in what was a really poor game all in. Highlights include watching planes descend into Edinburgh Airport and the ball get stuck in a tree. Sauchie did score with 10 to play but Jesus it was grim. The last Sauchie game we were at was 5-4, this wasn't.
Trackdaybob
A better second half sees The Linnets win 2-1. Whilst not expecting anything like the crowd last week, I have to say I was a little disappointed with the crowd today. Even in comparison with a normal league game, it seemed short of the usual. Jute
Leith Athletic 3-2 Camelon. A cancelled train and a bus not turning up meant another visit to Meadowbank for me. Leith probably better team overall raced into 2-0 lead in first half. The half time bollocking that Camelon players got clearly had the desired effect as they were better in second half and quickly got goal back. Game was end to end after that with Leith eventually getting 3rd before Camelon got a 2nd.
atfccfc
Stair Park, Stranraer today for their clash with Stirling Albion. £15 to get in, no programme but plenty of team sheets and monthly newsletters handed out. Stirling started the brighter and took the lead on 15 minutes When Robert Thomson headed in at the back post. But Stranraer don't have the best home record in the division without reason, they thought back well and almost equalised within seconds of the first goal. Stirling didn't heed the warning and on 31 minutes good work down the left resulted in Dylan Forrest being left alone inside the penalty'area, 10 yards out to fire his shot high past Blair Currie for the equaliser. The game evened out a bit after that. Until a good move down the right left Grant Gallagher unmarked in the 6 yard box to give Stranraer a half time lead The second half started quietly with Stranraer being in control. Stirling tried hard to get back in the game. But a spectacular overhead kick on 61 minutes from Sean McIntosh put Stranraer in easy street. Stranraer were by far the better team and deserved the 3 points. Only Cove Rangers, Elgin City, Inverness CT and Annan to go.
DoingThe42
31/42: Stranraer 3-1 Stirling Albion, League Two, 3/12/2022. A really good game at Stair Park for my first visit here in about fifteen years, with the Binos failing to take advantage of league-leaders Dumbarton's dropped points at Bonnyrigg. The visitors took the lead with Thomson finishing from close ranger after a Danny Denholm cross. At this point, Carrick, Denholm, and Fotheringham were all looking dangerous for Stirling Albion, and you felt they might win comfortably. But Stranraer had turned it round by half-time, leading to great scenes as the local primary school-aged kids rounded on five away supporters who were quite vocally getting behind their team. Bizarrely, a couple of adult Stranraer fans got involved too, and it all seemed like it might get a bit wild. Stewards running to intervene etc. All gloriously daft. In the second-half the Albion fans went and stood at the other end, while the young team were forbidden from following them and made do with sitting in the stand. Great stuff. Stranraer were really good after the break and added a third with a sort of flicked overhead kick from Gallagher. A well-deserved win for the home side, who move into the play-off places. Special mention this week for Stirling Albion keeper Blair Currie, whose kicking with both feet and general play with the ball at his feet was excellent. Don't think I've seen a keeper better in this regard in any division all season. Edited December 3, 2022 by DoingThe42

A good assessment of the game. Callum Graham let the club down with his actions and might’ve got at least a point if he didn’t get himself sent off. a decent crowd of 403 with hospitality sold out.
