sjc
What a splendid and witty fellow you are. I'm guessing that he does feel bad for the innocent people that have died on BOTH sides but is past caring because this situation has gone on for decades with neither side willing to budge an inch in terms of sitting down to formula some sort of resolution.
Silvio Tattiescone
Pretty much - a plague on both their houses. They're vile c***s on all sides but the vile Israeli c***s have no shortage of folk lining up to put the boot in on here so somebody needs to remind folk about the vile Palestinian c***s. It's like watching two pitbulls tear each other to bits in the pit and saying one of them is being oppressed.

You mean the Palestine that has no army, no navy, under a blockade, with land seized and under occupation.

Fraz
I might go and blow up my neighbour's house, but I'll send him a text about it first to give him a heads up. Can't see that he can have any complaints afterwards really.
murphy1970
Israeli attempts to play the victim ring very hollow. Their brutally disproportionate response can only serve to ensure the next generation of Palestinians will grow up hell-bent on Israel,s destruction.
ForzaDundee
Anas Sarwar booed off stage at the Palestine protest in Glasgow. Pleasing.
Enigma
So if Israel committed "ethnic cleansing" on Arabs and didn't want them in Israel. Why are there 2.5 million Arabs - over double pre-1948 numbers - living there now? Population of Tutsi's in Rwanda in 1991 = c.600,000 Population of Tutsi's in Rwanda today = c. 1,800,000 So we can therefore assume there was no ethnic cleansing of the Tutsi population in Rwanda in the mid 90s then, am I right? Dee Man
It's like watching two pitbulls tear each other to bits in the pit and saying one of them is being oppressed. It's not really like that though is it? A pitbull vs a pitbull would be a fair contest. It would be more like a bear vs a sloth. A bear with laser guided missiles.
Hillonearth
Israel had a right to respond, but the current response seems so out of proportion - the situation's the equivalent of some wee dick throwing half-bricks over the fence at you but not really doing any damage. Fair enough, you're eventually going to snap, go round and panel who's responsible, but you're hardly going to then decide to give the message to his whole extended family, which is essentially what's happening in Palestine at the moment.

Its one of the classic Zionist myths that it never happened , all the more horrific that It was just months after ww11, and that is the key reason most Israelis try to deny it, Their Jewish state created because Jews are not safe anywhere built by ethnically cleansing a near million Arabs out of their land. Its up there with the 6 day war legend , that tiny Israel overcame all the odds to defeat rampaging Arab countries, when in fact being the only regional super power the outcome was never in doubt. http://books.google.co.uk/books/about/The_Ethnic_Cleansing_of_Palestine.html?id=pFxrGQAACAAJ
DAFC
Looks like Israeli soldiers came off pretty bad in the ground attack. Quite a few dead and one captured apparently. Despite hundreds of innocent Palestinian civilians getting slaughtered it says a lot when the war could start to turn only when Israeli soldiers get killed. The silence from America is sickening. Complete hypocrites.

The 6 day war was an extremely efficiently conducted war from the Isreali's. Any chance the Egyptians might have had was ended in the pre emptive strike, which basically ensured Israeli air supremacy.

Tamdunk
Is anyone particularly surprised that this has the backing of the 'international community'? I mean did Iraq and Afghanistan not show that you can basically wage war whenever you want if you're 'the West'.

States may launch invasions: If they're largely Caucasian and Speak English. Otherwise, it's aggression. There are several schools of thought On how and why wars may be fought. As a general rule: If we do it, it's cool, But if they do, it's probably not. -
