Pardon my ignorance and laziness on this, and my apologies if it’s already been answered, but who’s at fault here? And who’s bending over and taking a shafting with the rescheduling? I see there’s a couple of Fife fans now inconvenienced with the change of date due to already having flights booked that are now for the wrong date - that’s pretty annoying. I’m all for the sides from outside Scotland being involved in the competition, it provides a potential great weekend away for fans of clubs who would otherwise never get that, but this seems like a bit of a riot.

I see Christian Nade is on the front of The Sun today talking about trying to commit suicide whilst he was playing for us in December 2014. Says that he was supported at the time by Grant Murray and “club bosses”. I’m glad he’s getting the help he needs and is showing some serious courage coming out and speaking publicly about it.

Crane and Murray to RB sounds ideal, tbh. Murray, although predominantly left sided, is right footed and would be fine on the other side. Crane has proven himself as an excellent full back at this level.

Someone was telling me that loans are now rarely done on a ‘you pay x% of his wage’ basis, and that more often than not its a one off payment which is made to the parent club which secures the player’s services. Hendry from last season was certainly signed this way. If that’s the case then £15k is more than enough to get someone in - on loan, anyway. Your post also comes across as slightly crass.

Chairman saying he agreed to give funds to Barry to sign a player, he had identified someone on Friday and was due to speak to them on Monday but then tendered his resignation Tuesday. Absolutely sounds like the player he's identified hasn't been to Sim's liking and he's pulled the funding.

I really don’t think we’re as unattractive as some are making out. We’re joint top of the league, the only full time outfit, have a good 1300 core home support - with the ability to double that when folk fancy it. We actually have the makings of a decent enough squad of players and we’ll hopefully be able to sign a full back and a winger in January. Any manager who is even remotely ambitious and confident in his own abilities should be looking at us and thinking, ‘I can get them up comfortably, and keep them there - at least’. The thing I’d like to see most is the board bringing in help to pick someone. Between the current board members there is approximately the square root of f**k all that tells me any of them would be able to pick the correct manager. That isn’t a slight on them by the way, they just aren’t qualified to choose who’s best from their previous endeavours and jobs.
